We're in the era of 12 or 13 fights a card, and even 157 is more filled out. Great fights on 156 so far, just seems weird we're almost a month out and the Super Bowl card is the smallest one. Currently the card stands as: Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar Rashad Evans vs. Lil Nog Overeem vs. Bigfoot Jon Fitch vs. Demian Maia Erick Silva vs. Jay Hieron Ian McCall vs. Joseph Benavidez Evan Dunham vs. Gleison Tibau Bobby Green vs. Jacob Volkmann
Looks like the main card could very well be set. The rest of the fights that get added will probably be prelims. PPV: Aldo vs Edgar Overeem vs Bigfoot Nog vs Evans Fitch vs Maia McCall vs Benavidez FX Prelims: Hieron vs Silva Dunham vs Tibau Green vs Volkmann TBA Then 3 low level fights on the FB prelims.
He'll probably look awesome against Hieron. Won't have to worry about being taken down, so he'll be really open and bold with his striking.
This one too. They'll probably add one or two more fights and be done with it. All they need really are 9 fights (5 for PPV and 4 for FX).
hopefully they throw some more of the SF guys that they didnt put on the last card on 156. what will likely end up happening is the rest of the fights will be loser get cut match ups just like they did for the Fox 6 card with Stumpf/Krauss, Thoresen/Mitchell and Cedenblad/Natal. with all the SF guys coming in they need to put on some of those fights and weed out the lesser fighters.
Just noticed the "Brazil vs." trend. Best card (on paper) in a while. Aldo/Edgar is getting underrated imo. A year ago this would be considered a super-fight, and Edgar arguably won his last fight against Bendo.
i think its pretty good, but i dont expect rashad and lil nog to be all that competitive, but id be happy if i was wrong and nog koed rashad. ive been a nog fan for years, but he has certainly slowed down teh last few years, and i think that rashad will win rather easily.
