ONE's matchmaking with Muay Thai/Kickboxing is very strange.

I know a lot of fighters compete in both, but it just seems like they're just treating them as interchangeable. Like if Yodsanklai can't beat the elite in KB anymore, lets see if he can win the Muay Thai belt.

Now they're matching Petchdam up with Rodtang after losing his KB title, even though you have Panpayak and Superlek who have both won a couple of fights in ONE.

Anyway, I'd like to see them make...

    Superlek vs winner of Rodtang/Petchdam

    Nong-O vs Rodlek

Giorgio vs winner of Sittichai/Superbon (obviously)

Edit: Just seen they've apparently added Superlek/Panpayak to the July card, I assume the winner will get a title shot.

Y'know your basement? Well right underneath that.
From his first fight back from retirement, I don't think Yodsanklai has looked too hot. Wouldn't at all be shocked to see Petchmorrakot take it.

Yod looks to be in good shape leading up to this and I'm sure he has to be motivated after 2 back to back loses including being KOed in his last fight and this is against another Thai. Gotta question how he's holding up injury wise he has a lot of miles on him though. Petchmorrakot is younger and fresher.

I just think Yodsanklai relies too much on his power. Petchmorakkot is less powerful, but is more well rounded and can score points both from the outside and in the clinch.

Sounds like a dick thing to say, but does anyone else not really see the point in ONE having a 155 Muay Thai belt?

Most (if not all) of the strikers ONE have at that weight are Kickboxers, even the Thais like Superbon and Sittichai.

The best Muay Thai fighters are not necessarily the same as the best kickboxers.

Petchmorrakot beat Saenchai and Petrosyan I think he beats Yod at this stage of his career.
