One thing I have noticed about Stipe when he fights..

Honestly I would kind of say the opposite, you compare Stipe to other HW's who's used boxing heavily(Fedor, JDS, Sergei, Arlovski, Aleks, etc) and I think what stands out is that he's NOT as quick as they were/are, he's not slow but he moves more like you'd expect a man his size to.

Generally I think Stipe has the benefit of being a very solid all around fighters(well sub defence somewhat untested but theres much less threat there anyway these days at HW) who is able to exploit weaknesses of opponents well in an era were everyone he faces has a pretty clear flaw.
