One of my matches(Grapplers Quest 9/26/09)

So I finally have one of my matches on youtube. This was the first round of the 30+ beginner Absolute. I win by Kimura.

What a day at Grapplers Quest. It may mean jack and shit to all you purple, brown, and blacks, but I went 4-2 and took two bronze medals. In my 3rd place match in Absolute I was down 11-3 and made him tap to Kimura with 10 seconds left. No it isn't ADCC or even the 1st place match, but damn if it wasn't cool.

Thanks to every person on this board that has posted anything that has kept my lazy ass on the mat.

congrats, you looked good doin it too. Did you really need to be so defensive though? If an upper level belt can't respect your performance then they've forgot where they started...

probably not, I guess I see a lot of people put down others who do well in the lesser divisions.

Nice job, both of you were very active, particularly for heavier guys. At one point in time one of you, I think your opponent sort of picked his nose at :59. Hope you weren't trying to use the booger submission?

A friend of mine pointed this out as well. It was definetly him. My guess was that I may have headbutted him, or scraped his face going for that shitty ezekiel type choke, and he was checking for blood, though it's hard to be sure.
