To make a long story short, i had an injury to my left tricep/tendon while wrestling a few years back, and after finally getting physical therapy the pain is almost gone and ive been lifting for the past two months. My left arm is noticeably weaker than my right, so when i do bench press with a bar or anything else i can tell my right arm is trying to compensate.

Would it be beneficial to do extra set/s/or reps of bench press/shoulder press etc. with the weaker arm? So maybe after im done with my usual 5x5 bench press do a set or two with just the left?

do every lift you can with dumbbells instead of a barbell until things even out. that worked for me. that extra rep/set shit the weaker arm could work too, probably quicker like that.

Don't do extra work on the weak side. Go easy on the strong side until they even out again.

If you do too much you'll just get injured again so take it slow and easy but always progress.

I saw a guy working on one-handed DB bench presses and although he looked fairly small he was lifting 90lbs with ease for several reps. I could tell it was hard for him to balance, but it seemed like a good/effective lift.

Let the weak arm be the gauge for an exercise; if you can do 5 reps with [x] lbs with the weaker arm, then do 5 reps with the stronger arm even if you could do a few more.
