News ONE Championship raises another 150 million

Yeah, cause when you do something shady its broad casted every where. I'm pretty sure when Group One Holdings Pte. Ltd turns in there paperwork to Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore they make sure to out line any shady things.

Like I said it probably isn't money laundering across the board. More of mixture of investors looking for hail marry by investing and showing loses as part of tax thing and other investors looking to make money. Now do any of these investment groups have some shady people/money involved in them who knows. Many investment groups are made up of many individuals or other companies some times 100's of people/companies involved.

On the surface its smoke and mirrors. According to their fillings there in no reason to invest in ONE FC from an investment standpoint. Hardly anything you can point to that say you even have a shot of making your investment back. It seems quite apparent on the surface they just keep kicking the ball down the way. Eventually that will hit a wall. One round of fail investments it all comes crashing down quickly.

P.S.: Its forum for discussion. Most of the discussions are opinions not all based on hard core facts. If it was it be pretty damn boring of a forum.

Exactly...and my opinion is you guys are fishing.

I would rather invest my money in ONE at this point than PFL or Bellator.

ONE does a great job of marketing on youtube, their videos get tons of views, and they actually have a good niche with their kickboxing/muay thai.

Are they bouncing checks to fighters yet?

Not that I've heard of.

They seem to have money since they are able to continue to raise capital when needed. I'm not sure what terms or what they are giving up to get that150 Million in the last round but your not getting that on just good faith. Your either giving up ownership, borrowing at a probably a less than favorable rate, or combination of both. Being an MMA org they have limited monetary assets to leverage against if they go out of business. It isn't like the UFC going to get a 250 Million loan and they have close to billion dollars of revenue yearly to show and large portion of that now guaranteed through media deals.

Wow!! Better to merge with Glory kb then to keep borrowing money.

Now is the time for ONE to consider that move, since GLORY just launched a new series of events named “GLORY Rivals” which could become big! GLORY breaks the traditional pattern by enabling cross-promotional fights. It may take a while before GLORY Rivals will really make waves, but potential collaborations with other fighting organizations such as ONE Championship, Bellator and even boxing promotions sounds very interesting.

GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing organization, announced today the launch of GLORY Rivals, a new series of events launching in 2022. GLORY Rivals is a global initiative to showcase the world’s best kickboxers and strikers in partnership with other leading fighting organizations.

“It’s time for the best fighters in the world to fight, regardless of organization,” says GLORY Executive Vice-Chairman Scott Rudmann. “At GLORY, we’re confident we have the best talent and we’re willing to prove it. We welcome the challenge of any MMA, boxing, or kickboxing organization that believes their fighters can compete against ours. It’s time for a change in the combat landscape and we’re excited to lead the way.”

GLORY Rivals allows the world’s top fight organizations to showcase their best fighters in new markets and create matchups that fans have been calling for. The Series will kick off with Enfusion in Europe and RISE in Japan.

“We’re excited to partner with both organizations and create new events together,” added Rudmann.“Many of GLORY’s top fighters debuted with Enfusion, including Middleweight Champion Donovan Wisse and top contenders Levi Rigters, Mohammed Jaraya, and Luis Tavares. RISE is the leading kickboxing organization in Japan and features some of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, including Tenshin.”

In addition to the Enfusion and RISE partnerships, GLORY is exploring additional global challengers, including organizations in the United States and Brazil.

Full fight details for GLORY Rivals will be released shortly.

Literally the fastest growing sports entity

The last research Chatri tweeted showed they were bigger than the NFL. Now they're smaller but still somehow the fastest growing. <{fry}>

depends on how he phrased it, it definitely has a larger growth than the NFL(due to being newer and the NFL has such a large audience but has been losing viewers for a decade). And in some cases, may have more social media impressions because of the Asian continent having more people than North America but ONE is a major player that is growing

Bro, ONE gets more viewership than the Premier League and the NFL. Billions of fans across the world who somehow have 0 interaction in social media.

You have to understand that One Will never surpass to start with

One is not growing, but the possibility that it could is what is keeping it alive. In Asia it has stagnated, in Thailand it could maybe get a surge if more people get behind their fighters but still MMA is not respected there.

Like Eagle FC if they can get some fights in the USA then they will grow.
But let their fighters like the Lee family be known as Canadian and Americans instead of claiming them as Singaporeans.

Never said it would but you can make numbers seem impressive by the way you phrase it

Yes because very few People in asia barely have a tv. There are more peoole in europés poorest country Moldova WHO has a tv then China

Never surpass what? This is an incomplete sentence. You compared the subject to nothing.

Money laundering?

Out of interest, how would that work?

Isn't it more likely that some of these blue chip companies have decided to use ONE Championship as an outlet to avoid paying too much tax?

https://www.businessinsider.com/why...-millions-dollars-every-year-2021-5?r=US&IR=T

Sporting concerns are often set up to lose massive amounts of money to straighten out a rich dude's tax returns, no?
Much more likely. People who just don’t know crap about crap just go straight to money laundering, because they watch too much tv.

How come that they are signing many heavyweight prospects from different countries? They just had a canadian heavyweight there who lost a fight, just a waste and many of these heavyweights was on their road to UFC, i guess.....that is ONEs plan to "spoil" the division?
