No Jihin Radzuan? Rittu Phogat? Bi Nguyen? Arent they atomweights too?

*Edit*
Nevermind, was reacting on the inital post...still Nguyen should be one of the 8 and Jihin should be as well.

More exciting than most invicta tourneys at least...

I wanna know how Anissa Meksan is fighting down at atomweight when she's spent her entire career to date at 125 or above.

115 is Atomweight in ONE. Surprising, because with her previous opponent it was booked at “strawweight (125)”

Fighters do cut a lot of weight at ONE despite them claiming that they have solved weight cutting issues. Some cut like 30 pounds and did not eat until the day of the fight. Fighters who fought at One talked about it.

Basically you have multiple chances to pass the hydration test, so fighters that cut a lot of weight might fail the test a few times, and would just not need anything until the night before the day of the fight and just drink a bit of water to pass the test, without eating anything.

When you watch ONE events, you will see two types of fighters. Fighters that just fight at their natural weight and fighters that have figured out ONE's hydration test and just cut weight like before joining ONE

From what I understand the specific gravity urine test is easy to beat. just water down your pee. could get water from the toilet, or carry it in your mouth and then spit it out into the cup. I doubt that ONE has guys watching you pee into the cup military style

^^^^^

I was onboard and interested to see how it worked out. Not really surprised...

Ritu Ohogat benefiting from that Evolve Fight Team privilege. Beating a girl who was out for almost 3 years is apparently enough to erase losing to a girl with a losing record

The combined record of the 14-2 girls record isn't too hot though, that record is exceedingly padded.
Combined record of 13-20 across 17 previous opponents, And she was coming off a layoff of well over 2 years
