I'd assume Japan has good refs based on the frequency of fights going on there. What do you guys think?

I don't watch much Japanese fighting to be honest, but have the refs there ever caught the head of a falling fighter before it hits the canvas when KO'd? Because you see that all the time in Thailand. IMO it's another level of reffing that I have not seen anywhere else.

I've seen plenty of terrible refereeing in Japan. It's everywhere really, but I do like the Thai refs the most.

Elias Dolaptsis is by far the worst referee in ONE he makes things like that at every event, gives warning to the wrong fighters, screams on them to get up like crazy even when the'yre already doing it. Awful ref.

He is constantly out of position also and can't actually tell what is happening half the time when a foul is committed
