News ONE’s Atlanta event OFF!

Well...
Good for both Reug Reug and Malykhin.
For Reug Reug... Well... dude was gonna get murdered against Malykhin for... basically... a NC, since Malykhin would probably fail a drugtest (which is also good for him, since he wouldn't have any issues regarding a potential failed drug test at his curriculum).

Too much flooding from hurricane Helene. Also is One knees to grounded opponents legal there like Colorado? All the UFC shill One haters here will be happy but this sucks was looking forward to this one the show in Denver was great

Disclaimer: I’m only posting this because I’m a “UFC shill One hater.”

Oof.

Fake live gate?? I was at One Denver it was almost sold out lol. I'll wait for a more official source. Sherdog doesn't cover One anymore

I'm not sure I understand.

So StageFrontVIP is a scalping company, bought the tickets from ONE at face value, then got mad when they couldn't make a profit on the resale market?

Is that correct?

They bought them in agreement with One.

Looks like the last event didn't meet expectations for them so they're dipping for this event and Chatri can't bear to hold an event selling 0 tickets.

The tweet I posted isn't affiliated to Sherdog. It's a Twitter account, that I believe it was FrontRowBrian years ago, claiming ONE has scalpers buying tickets and trying to offload them afterwards to claim a bigger gate than the true numbers. I'm not saying it's true or a lie. I am just saying that given ONE's dodgyness, I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

If you were there and experienced it live, I'd take your word over Meltzer's and FrontRowBrian's as Meltzer is a known WWE hater and has made up a ton of false reports, specially in recent months and FrontRowBrian I don't actively follow and just came across the tweet and shared it here as it's related, but again, I'll take your word over there's if you were there.

One gives tickets away they do whatever it takes to get their events full. Ticket sellers should know this.

One FC staff are not good chess player.

Being strong in thailand is great, as muay-thai is a great source of income. Kickboxing also draw a bit of audience, and cross over as well. But why try to get the US market ? The competition is fierce, UFC, Bellator/PFL, going to be tough already.

Instead, promoting MMA to South East Asia and China would had been wiser, building local heros and promoting them trough patriotism would sell tickets and draw larger crowds.

Malykhin is the P4P heavyweight figher, by skill and not by accomplishment. His solid wrestling background, power punching make his a beast to be reckon with. I hope that his fight will just be postponed, and not be cancelled, he is a generational talent.

They want to get into the North America market because that is the biggest media pay day you can get. Same reason Pride tried coming in as a last ditch effort. Pride should've came in probably a few years earlier then they did and tried to be the leader instead of riding on the UFC's coat tails of opening up new markets by getting AC's to approve MMA in their states.

ONE's problem from almost day one has been all the money they raised went into spinning the story of ONE"s worldwide dominance that still doesn't exist. When they should've stuck a massive percentage of the money into talent. 10+ years later they now have few solid people with real talent and a bunch of "eh" fighters and spend any money raised on paying back earlier investors. Only person making money in this farce is Chatri and some close people around him. Eventually, the investor money will dry up and ONE will fold up shop. This org is so lost they don't know if they are a grappling org, kickboxing org, muay-thai, or MMA org. Maybe get legs in one of them before trying to go out and get market share in another aspect of combat sports. They are grasping at straws at this point.

This ticket scam thing is ONE in a nutshell. You're admitting before you even do a show that you know it won't sell very well and you sales talk(probably Chatri's best attribute) a ticket broker into buying mass amounts of tickets at probably a discounted rate. ONE gets paid and the ticket broker gets stuck with a bunch of worthless tickets because they find out the hard way Chatri's sales pitch is a bunch of fluffy feel good shit about ONE's popularity.

Oh shit, this was the Malykhin card, right? I was looking forward to it.

Why is One so focused being in U.S? Chatri was always Talking about one billion viewers and in Asia they respect each other etc etc

Because that's where the big media deals and money is. Asian media companies don't pay much

Here in Thailand we do not pay much for fights we are cheap and do not do pay-for-views here. I remember when Chatri's plan was to sell a shirt to everyone here then he would be rich. But, we do not pay much for clothes here either unless it has a brand name like Gucci or Rolex (we do fakes) ONE still trying to be a clothes brand.
