The day Iaquinta ruthlessly picked apart and outclassed Khabib, establishing the blueprint for future title challengers
A true champion inside and outside the cage. Awesome to see him make his team, especially his father proud.
People genuinely thought Iaquinta exposed khabib because Khabib used him for kickboxing sparring practice.
Needs that GSP fight for #1 GOAT
but his standup is amateurish
In this fight, khabib shows that his striking is very legit. His hands looked lighting fast.
Al, the lowest tier fighter that didnt stand a chance, went the distance and forced a decision.
I remember when he beat the number 12 ranked lightweight to be crowned the best lightweight on the planet. He looked good.
Even Joe Rogan did. I wanted to slap him in the commentary for this fight
couldnt submit him tho
Khabib should have been Champion 4 years earlier in 2014. He was the best lightweight in the world after he beat RDA!
Al Iaquinta actually did better against Khabib Nurmagomedov than McGregor, Poirier, and Justin Gaethje did COMBINED.
No matter what happens in the rest of Iaquinta's MMA career, he'll always be able to say that.
There are some rumors on Sherdog that say that Nurmagomedov ALLOWED Iaquinta to survive all 5 rounds. Even if that's true, I still think that Iaquinta should be happy that he survived all 5 rounds.
from ferg vs khabib to max vs khabib to iaquinta vs khabib... that was a rough week for the fans lol.
God damn its been three years already. I'm fucking old.
That knee injury fucked his title run something fierce. its unfortunate
I remember Joe Rogan was shitting on Khabib and calling him and amateur.
Khabib with that jab
Wait Al Iafrate was once champ?
Al Iaquinta is a savage. Every fight he brings it. I’d like to see him fight more.
