News On the Day of His Retirement Jon Jones Charged with Fleeing the Scene of an Accident in Albuquerque, NM (Update W/ Cam Footage).

How is a dui and fleeing the scene of an accident not a felony? Ridiculous
Sadly because he ran away and there doesn't seem to be an independent witness, they can't prove he was driving. His lawyer will argue the woman was driving and Jon was the passenger, and ran away out of panic.

But that's his voice on the phone, and I'm sure they tracked his cell phone moving with the vehicle, stopping when the car crashed, and then moving away slower (on foot, probably to his house). So they can prove he was in the vehicle and fled the scene, which is what they charged him with.

We can only hope the judge watches this video and gives him the maximum.

With his criminal history you would think he'd get something worth while, but he won't unfortunately. We'll have to wait till something serious happens (which it will).

@Only Here for Attachments you seriously gonna watch this video and defend this guy still??? It's clearly Jon on the phone.

I've never once defended his criminal actions, and I don't know what he sounds like on the phone. All I will say is this: I wasn't there, I'm not going to assume what happened, and due process exists for a reason.

The kind of locking up you can get for a misdemeanor?
He will be locked into community service and you will cry it isn’t enough and if he beats the charges you will cry. Basically you are trying to line up the flawless situation to validate the whimpers. You will engage in this behavior shamelessly and with a sense of pride while attacking anyone telling you how goofy it is. Point out the lie

Is it even legal for the police to release footage concerning an ongoing investigation if it's not intended to actually help in said investigation?
Yes..

It happens all the time. Go on YouTube, and you’ll see what I mean. Type in “body cam footage” of whatever.

There was a black young woman in Colombus, OH. Probably about 2 years ago. She got shot because she was literally trying to stab another girl in real time.

They released the body cam footage within a few hours of it happening.

Edit..

Btw.. Fucking pieces of racist shit were saying a white cop killed a black girl for no reason. You know BLM bullshit. The fucking losers even tried to say she wasn’t armed.

She got killed because she was literally in the act of trying to kill this other girl.

So yeah.. They put that out pronto.

Google it. It’s probably still on the internet.

Edit 2..

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Ma'Khia_Bryant

Here’s the story. It was actually about 4 years ago, not 2. An innocent mistake on my part.

Edit 3.

No.. not armed or anything. An innocent young black lady minding her own business.

Murdered by a white cop.

How you correlated this tale to the matter at hand is amazing

Can't a black man ride off into the sunset without the police pulling him over just because he got into an accident driving on booze and mushrooms and abandoned the scene of a crash with a half naked drugged up ho in the car??

Why would they charge him 4 months later with no evidence?

Why would they leave out a giant detail? They've talked plenty about talking to him on the phone. They've talked plenty about the girl leaving his house. They've released the video of them talking to the girl in the car. They released the video of them talking to him on the phone after the accident. But they would completely leave out "But video footage from near by businesses show Jones exit the vehicle and run down the street."...?

I'm not saying he did or didn't do it. He probably did. But the fact that they're not reporting that they have video of him fleeing the scene leads me to believe there is no video of him leaving the scene.

"Why would they try to convict someone on flimsy evidence?" - I'm sorry, are you new to America? Have you read a single news story about American Police? Surely they would never try to charge someone without having all of the evidence needed to prove he did it, right?

I could be wrong but I don't think they can legally withhold police bodycam footage if a FOIA request is placed

That is basically the entire point of police bodycams is that they can NOT withhold the evidence of what really happened to the Public.

It is possible that is why no private film has been releasd such as ring cams or security footage, maybe that could be under court order as evidence but I don't think the rules work the same for police bodycan footage. All those police shootings that hit the media get released way before the court process plays out.

Shit - if they had video of Jon fleeing the scene, we would all be watching the video of Jon fleeing the scene. And not them talking to him while he mumbles about hurting people.

Jon gets released from UFC
Jon gets chased by American government
coincidence?

He retired, they still own his ass for years.

I know it's kinda passe at this point but do you ever just stop and remember when Jon was trying to convince people he was just a humble, pious son of god? and people bought it! legit some of the most diabolical PR of any public figure in my lifetime. OJ Simpson-esque, Joe

I already hated this guy as a human being but I ALMOST feel bad for him at this point. I think he has a serious drinking problem along with some mental health issues. Either way I hope he gets locked up for a period of time because it may be the only thing to humble him amd help in the long run.

you THINK he has a serious drinking problem? lol.... being his first time ever doing something like this, let's not be too hasty with our accusations.

he always does that though. he does shit like this, then he "stops a robber", he test positive for steroids, then he hugs a down syndrome kid, he smashes into a pregnant woman, then he donates school supplies for kids.

it's not like he stopped trying to clean his reputation up.

I Thought you thought he didn't do it, maybe.

Also, not sure how the law works so i can't really say. But maybe the footage of sources other than the police can't be released that soon? Or since they are proof of crime, to avoid being tampered with?

We will see how this ends anyway.

Easy: A) I didn't call for jail and B) I haven't attacked anyone.

Thanks for coming

It's Jon Jones. It's 100% possible that he did it, and more than likely that he did it. However, If it's true that she was drunk, high on mushrooms, and in a car crash it's 100% possible she left his house with someone, they wrecked the driver ran and she thought "oh I was with Jon Jones the whole time." and he was at home when he got the phone call. They'll have the towers his phone pinged off of when the car was moving, and also when they called him. They'll have his cell phone either traveling with her in the car, or staying where ever he claimed to be. They talked to him on the phone, so we know where ever he was at when this happened his phone was on him. If he did it, there will be little doubt because of the way technology works these days.

As for showing the video, if he fled from the scene last night and taco bell caught it on camera it would be perfectly legal for the news to play it this morning on a nonstop loop for the next 100 years.
