Don't know about racial profiling but he definitely got profilied. Cop probably ran his plates, or just saw that it was Jon Jones, knew he was in the headlines recently and decided to fuck with him.

I mean it's definitely possible and it does happen, I just don't know. Albequerque's not the biggest city in the world and it's not like Jon hasn't been in the news his whole career. If I was a cop, realized who he was, what he's done, and still see him fuckin around behind the wheel I'd probably pull him over too.
 
Holy shit. Now while I agree that Jones probably got set up with this specific incident, I think the dude needs to hire someone from a PR firm to manage anything that comes out of his mouth. He would have been far better off just putting up the news clip regarding the cop being accused of racial profiling and letting everyone run with that.

But the whole rant after...fuck Jones. Stop with the whole "I've lost respect for law enforcement" and how you feel let down by the justice system because of this shit. You've done nothing but shit on the justice system and you've managed to avoid being punished up until this point. Yeah...you got a raw deal with this last item but you know what Jon...Karma is a bitch. And I don't doubt that that cop knew exactly who you were when he initially ran your plates and decided to take a run at you because you made the Albuquerque Police Department look like shit when you managed to escape any real punishment with the hit and run you recently did.

As they say - that cop is probably responsible for doing you wrong, but to say you didn't bring this upon yourself would be fucking delusional.

I actually thought the opposite. If I was a cop I wouldn't even want to mess with him because he's celebrity and in a small town like that it can become big news. If I'm already being sued and have other past allegations why do I want to bring attention to myself? Unless he was doing something really illegal I'm not going to start fucking with him just to avoid the media attention.

Now the cop is all over the news and being made out to look like a racist. That has to be so embarrassing not only for him but for the rest of his family.

I'm not saying he's not a racist I don't know, from what I remember of the video I didn't find any reason to believe he was. Was he an asshole? Absolutely.

One thing I do believe though is that the guy knew who Jon was (sounds like you kind of believe that too?). And with that he should just come out and talk to the media, get his 15 minutes of fame and move on. People are going to either think he's a racist or a saint anyway.. So he might as well show "the people" whether he really is a racist or if he saw Jon Jones being a jackass behind the wheel and wanted to do something about it.

No I understand I don't know if he's a racist or not. I'm just saying if I was that cop and I saw that the car was Jon Jones I wouldn't want to pull him over unless it was something serious cause I wouldn't want the media attention that comes with it. Especially if I'm being sued because of racially profiling.
 
i totally thought the cop was leaning hard on jones, wouldn't surprise me at all if he was a racist donut muncher
