Watch this clip just before training. It reminds me of an old Bill Starr article where he talks about how once you get past the first 2 years of strength training (when just about any program will work) the rest of your lifting career is spent fighting for a couple of pounds here and a couple of pounds there and it adds up over time. Most people jump from one "12 week program of the month" to the next and eventually just give up and join a spinning class or some other "highly useful" activitiy.

enjoy

Great video...very inspirational.

Interestingly enough, Joe Defranco had this video on his site a few months ago saying it was one of his favorite, inspirational clips.

Now I know where this speech is coming from.... heard it in this clip and thought "wow that dieselcrew guy has a voice.."

Ahh, to bad I just got back from the Gym. Could have used this before-hand today!

Good find, Keith, and somethin' that I've been needin' to keep in mind, not just about liftin'.

That is a good clip. Though it's best to watch with your eyes closed. Seeing old ass Dennis Quaid and Bill Bellamy trying to pose as football players completely ruins it.

Some food for thought, thanks,

Pacino sounds like he's been hit in the throat with a gun butt. Terrific speech regardless.

We used to listen to that before football games. Sadly enough, I've listened to it so many times that I can recite it word for word.

Phailures.

Football reeks of sodomy.

Why can't the players just admit that they are attracted to the male form while they are actively playing. 2/3rds of them are on the down low, but they still act hyper-masculine. Additionally, football has allowed Pac-Man and the Bengals to make it rain on a much larger scale than would have otherwise been possible. That's 2 strikes. Me saying that it sucks is the 3rd.

I have a feeling that my opinion is supported by many on this board.

I demand a poll.

The actions of a few dip shits with more mouth than heart and entirely too much money will make anything look bad.

It's damn near impossible for me to sit through an NFL game these days. Too much filler bullshit. But on rare occasion, I manage to catc h a HS game or a college game and I remember why I love the sport.

I'll be a football fan when f@gs are embraced in the game.
