Khabib retired to keep that 0 in place, he knew that’s the one thing that set him apart from the other UFC Champs, he was smart to move aside and let the hungry fighters take his place. I honestly think due to Abdulmanap’s passing and Khabib’s inactivity during his reign that he lost his fire to compete. The competition is getting interesting in the 155 division, with Olives as the champ hopefully he’s more active. Oh and Khabib would absolutely smesh Oliveria, and I’m actually a Chucky fan.

Something I thought of earlier which I don't think anyone has mentioned. If Khabib did fight and beat Tony on the night they were meant to meet and then Khabib's dad passed away after on the same date he did I think he'd still retire and then everyone would say he's ducking Justin...

I disagree. Tony is a few years older then when he was supposed to fight Khabib. Being a few years past his prime isn’t going to make him go from the elite of the elite. To getting ragdolled 2 fights in a row. But, I could be wrong. Maybe Tony would have outgrappled Khabib. We’ll never know.

You don't understand, the guy who just won in the UFC is the best thing ever, Olivera just won and Khabib didnt therefor he's better, only Pride nostalgia fools argue otherwise.

Seriously I can see an arguement Charles might be the guy with the best chance of beating Khabib BUT mainly because I think he's the guy with the most chance of pulling an upset. If you basically admit nobody has the ability to out gameplan Khabib then upsets are your next best bet and Charles is arguebly the guy who's most dangerous everywhere.

Realistically though my feeling is he's simply not good enough of a grappler, dangerous yes but not at the highest level in terms of control and misdirection, if Khabib avoids an obvious error I think he pulps him with GnP which Charles doesnt have the chin to stand up to IMHO.
