I'm a little surprised at the poll myself. Less than 1-in-5 are picking Dubois to upset the applecart? I would've thought he'd get one-third of the vote or so. Dubois has the equalizer in both hands so Usyk has little room to make mistakes. I agree that right now this version of Dubois probably is the most dangerous fight for Usyk in the division.

Exactly. Again as special as Usyk is (and he is, one of my favourite fighters and I've picked him to win every single fight), we're talking about a 38 year old cruiserweight up against a prime heavyweight with explosive power, and the speed and aggression to land.

Given Usyk's age, clearly slowing a bit, and Daniel's recent form, I also thought more people would fancy the upset this time around.

As you said, the crucial thing is there is little margin for error. Especially this more confident, ferocious Dubois, while he's fresh, Usyk is going to have to be extremely sharp and focused and not get too comfortable at all. Be very cagey and cautious and move a lot, at least until he's sort of beaten the fight out of Daniel like in the first fight.

Again I'm picking Usyk to win as always, but no one should be shocked if Dubois managed to catch him.

Good question about what's next for Usyk. Possibly one more against Parker then retire?

Well said. Agree with your analysis. Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Usyk vs Parker next if he gets by Dubois. That'd make sense.

The king of rematches is talking about rematching Joshua or Fury for his final fight despite being 2-0 up against them both.

And if he gets knocked out, we will have to see the rubber match between him and Dubois. And even Chisora might get another fight.

He will spend his entire 8-year HW career fighting 5 HWs when all is said and done.

And people will pay for it. And people on here will clap like the retarded seals that they are, because they love nothing more than seeing the same thing over and over and over again.

You fell for that Fury & Joshua trilogy talk? Haha. It's about as real as Usyk fighting Jake Paul in boxing or Alex Pereira which, even if it had transpired before Dana blocked it, would've only been an exhibition. If Usyk gets by Dubois next as expected then he'll likely fight either Parker (his WBO mandatory) or Kabayel (his WBC mandatory).

Nobody has or hasn't been fooled until he is in the ring with Parker or Kabayel.

I'll believe the guy will fight somebody he hasn't already fought when I see it. History is definitely on my side.

Except Fury is retired and possibly for real this time. Joshua? Just got decimated by Dynamite Dubois. Recent history may be on your side but logic certainly isn't.

Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite actors. Anyhow, Usyk has never had a trilogy as a professional. Even the 2 rematches he's had so far in his career were both contractually obligated. His upcoming fight against Dubois is the only time he's ever even voluntarily pursued a rematch. Is your mind blown yet? It should be.

its just bullshit mang, seriously. PPVs are yesterday's news. just charge me a price for streaming and be done with it!
I know. The subscription model is enough. Tacking on extra charges for individual PPVs is corporate greed taking over. No wonder so many people pirate the events. They only encourage it.

Ticket sales? According to Frank Warren almost 70k were sold as of 3 weeks ago. The fight isn't for over another month yet. He also said that over 60k tickets were sold within the first 24 hours but I'd take that with a grain of salt. It sounds like they may end up selling out Wembley. The current attendance record there for a boxing match was set by AJ & Dubois at over 98k. I doubt this fight will beat that mark but it'd be a pleasant surprise if they did.

Was just rewatching some old highlights of Usyk's heavyweight fights in the World Series of Boxing (WSB). Man, he had some serious skills and was even quicker than I remembered. Whether those 6 fights he had there should've been counted on his pro record will always be debated.

the new and improved Dubois could be in for a very rude awakening, his new come forward aggressive style could backfire big time against Usyk, but at the same time, as others have mentioned, it could be one fight too far for Usyk, its an interesting fight

he isnt fighting a Joshua, Hrgovic or Miller here though, he is in with the very best(regardless of what the rematch clown is saying above)

Yeah it's tough to say what will happen. Their first fight was almost 2 years ago. Usyk had a lot of success by being aggressive last time and pushing Dubois back. I'm sure Dubois has prepared for it but he struggles against guys that press him and throw with volume. It'll be interesting to see if Usyk is as aggressive as he was before or if he's more defensive and boxes until he sees Dubois start to slow down.
