Cool. I need to see a silent with a live orchestra.

I forgot "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)" which would make it the earliest that I really liked.

You seem like a horror buff. I recommend checking out Monster Madness on Cinemassacre.com, I have wasted many hours watching those videos.

Ten Commandments 1956

Edit , Wizard of Oz 1939

Bicycle Thieves and The Red Shoes, both from '48, are the oldest 10/10, perfect movies I have seen.

Oldest movie I like..(as in the 7-8/10 range) would be some Buster Keaton or Chaplin stuff from the 20s probably.

What's the oldest movie you have watched all the way through AND enjoy?

Doesn't count if you've seen it a few times but never from beginning to end (watching it with commercials counts).

Off the top of my head, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for me (1971).

Lookin' forward to seeing how far back some of the older doggers can go. Wondering if any of the younger ones only go back as far as the 2000's.
I highly recommend Casablanca (1942 I think). If you watch it with the subtitles on or otherwise pay attention to the plot, it's amazing how well told it is. Everything you want to have happen...happens. And happens right when you want it.

The General (1926), Steamboat Bill Jr (1928).
Buster Keaton is da bomb!

The 3 Stooges film collection

Any of the classic monster movies, i.e. Frankenstein, The Wolfman, etc.

Old Yeller
To Kill a Mockingbird

the tramp starring charlie chaplin

12 Angry Men, 1957, top 5 movies of all time IMO.
