Think about it, Couture did good for himself even 40+, fighting til he was 47!

Dan Henderson looks good at 45 as everyone is gawking at his pic in another topic

Who do you think will fight even past Couture did in UFC and how old do you think will be the oldest participant of a UFC fight ever?

I think that as the athletes get better and better the old guys will continue to get rarer and rarer.

Couple that with no TRT... Hendo and couture will be the last of their kind.

without TRT the days of grandpa fights are over in the ufc

Henderson looks good? He's 2-6 in his last 8 lol.

I could see Hunt, Verdoom, (soon to be) and Anderson making decent runs in there 40s. Hunts already flattened out 2 dudes can't wait to see how he does next.

Lack of talent and real athletes, in hindsight it's actually ridiculous that Couture fought for as long as he did, his knees looked disgusting and so did the rest of him, he'd get destroyed in todays world.

People just need to accept that 30s and 40s isnt old. Those are the prime years not 20s. This whole idea that you might as well just fold up shop and die after your 20s is actually a more underlying cultural issue. This weird extreme youth worship you see in America. Show me any time in mma history where all the best were in their 20s. Its never been that way.

30 and 40 is extremely old FOR MARTIAL ARTS.
Stop being delusional.
You sound like a triggered tumblerette.

There are not even that many notably great boxers under 30. Miles matter more than simple thing called age.

Not for a HW MMA fighter for example
If he started training MMA at 30 after doing wrestling, football, rugby or some other sports, he could have a decent run until mid 40s. We have a lot of guys in this situation lately (most of them in minor leagues ATM)

Couture fought til he was 49 didn't he? Thats insane and he was still better than Hendo is at this point

Everyone knows hw is extremely thin.

I'm 61 one of Rigan Machado black belt instructors and roll with all ages. I do well, know my limits and enjoy BJJ. I tap guys in the 20's and get tapped as well. However, would I compete using strikes, no for 2 reasons: 1 I respect my body too much and 2 no money would be worth if u become handicapped.

I truly would enjoy meeting some of the idiots on this site who constantly bad mouth behind the screen, ragging on other older fighters. So come down to the school for a little ass whoopin and wake up smell the mats.
