Oklahoma lawmakers want to ban hoodies. Really??

Anyone read the actual text of the proposal?

http://webserver1.lsb.state.ok.us/cf_pdf/2015-16 INT/SB/SB13 INT.PDF

Text of the amendment.

1. The part of the statute making it a crime to wear a hood, mask, etc during the commission of a crime for purposes of intimidation, coercion, or harassment was already in the statute.

2. The new language make it a misdemeanor to intentionally conceal your identity by means of a "robe, mask, or other disguise."

3. It has exceptions, both religious and practical.

So.......the law doesn't come close to "banning hoodies". The amendment doesn't mention hoods or hoodies. A hoodie sweatshirt doesn't per se conceal your identity. Put on a hoodie, in almost all situations, someone is gonna be able to tell it's you.

Isn't that American spelling as well?

I thought you guys had stopped that whole American "minstrel" thing though...

And so it is - spell check and auto correct were invented for PIL. I thought it was minstral troup

Regardless, I wasn't aware that those things still existed.

I am not aware of either spelling being distinctively English english.

Anyways...
The guy who is pushing this is from the GOP, the party of small government....

I thought the GOP's stand was local govt
