Ohio school district is going to stop allowing white students to leave

That contributes to racial disparities between the local population and the public schools' student roster of a little over 1,000 students. Minorities now account for about half the students but less than 20 percent of residents in Liberty Township, according to state data and the most recent U.S. Census estimates from 2016."

Sounds like the school got flooded with minorities to the point it was 50%, white students started leaving, the school started losing funding when a bunch of white kids started transferring, now the school is barring white kids from leaving.

Maybe someone can explain this a little deeper to me, but I dont see why this should be allowed.

They’re allowed to go to other schools. You’re forcing them to go to the school hey don’t want to. That’s perfectly fine of course if you’re an asshole

Parents want to put their kids in the best schools available. Their goal is the education of their children. The goal of the school bureaucracy here is racial balance. One of the problems with public schools is that education isn't at the top of their priorities.

This is what happens when you grow up in places like Ohio rather than metropolitan areas where there are people from all back grounds.

The problem is the school is probably garbage and the students who have parents with brains don't want their kids attending a garbage school. But because liberals see everything in terms of race, they see this as an affront to their belief in diversity above all else, even results.

It's authoritarian for a government to not allow parents the ability to choose what school their children will attend.

You geniuses realized that this policy (i.e. forced integration) was universally required through the federal courts from 1960-1990, right? This isn't some new subversive agenda.

It appears that you either do not understand the article or did not read my post.

I said that the school district should stop allowing kids to transfer out and take district funding with them. This would have no effect on kids transferring in.
