Felt a sharp pain thorughout my lowerback and right leg. I couldnt bend over for a fulll five minutes. Im not sure what it was but stopped immediately. Im thinking it could of been a muscle strain or pinched nerve, but it got better after a little while and now I onl feel pain when I fully extend or round my lowerback. One thing is for sure though I will definetly take weight down in deadlift, I think mabe my form was def not as good as I thought it was. PRetty sure of this cuz when I sit back more and dead pain is gone. Form has prob been shit for the heavier weights for awhile just never noticed. Oh well looks like I gotta rewind a bit.

Nice log here, but I see you seem to get a few pains here and there on the deads and squats in particular? I used to get similar problems.

I think you should get some form vids up for deadlift and squat. If anything is hurting regularly, don't do it til you work out why. Or just stick low as you're doing.


How are you warming up just out of interest? Since I started warming up thoroughly, I've not had problems. If you're not already, do some light mobility/movement with all the joints, then try jumping rope or jogging for 5-10 minutes, then do more mobility with super light DBs for the shoulders, a couple of pushups and BW squats and lunges, and jumping jacks, and see how that goes?

/\ Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I saw this after my last workout. Definetly try videotaping my technique but in process of starting at new gym so not sure about thier policy. I lightly stretched before working out but maybe Ill try a more virgourous warm up.

Happy to finally do these again.

Overall good day, but damn my hip and back hurt now hours after lifting. Hope its just soreness and can get over it soon. Tried to videotape some lifts today but prohibited in my gym. Ill try sneaking one in the next couple of workouts.

Overall ok lifting day but met a powerlifter who might be my ticket into the sport.
 
Ok so been about a week since I was here. Been physically and mentally exhausted. I was getting sick and was feeling it. Fought it off before it got real bad and took the week off. Tweaking my schedule a bit as I just started university. Prob workout strength training two days tues/thurs which will be heavy with two cardio days, weds LSD jogging and then saturday which will be more intense interval circuit training prob with Body weight excersises. This slightly tweaked routine starts today. Individual strength workouts stay the same, same 2 day split.

That is also a PR but a very sloppy one... bar was tilting back anf forth not much control and got some pain in my shoulders from the torque.

for each arm. Just experimented with it hope my form was good.... found my max which is about 45lbs. They felt good.

I think because I only train 2 days a week now, my workout B which is on thurs is suffering because I dont get enought rest from the workout A on tues. I think I am doing better with workout A because there is more recovery time before the workout. So Im wondering if I should start switching it up to a ABBAABB schedule alternating workout A and B an tues and thurs. This would mean I would do two wokrouts that are the same in a row like this:
Week 1 Tues A Thurs B
week 2 Tues B Thurs A
etc...
Not sure if this will help cuz I tend to feel a little weak and tired on thurs.Hope this works, or maybe I could spread it out a bit more, like Tues and Fridays or something.
What do u guys think?

So its been a while, got sick again but this time i think i noe the cause. When i sleep my mouth hangs open and no matter how much water I drink before bed I wake up very dehydrated. This eventually culminates with me getting sick. Well anyways, I need to find a way to tape my mout shut at night....But whatever Im better now and back at it.

Arite so been another week, but been keeping busy. Actually went to my first powerlifting meet on saturday, not competing but just volunteering, saw some insanely strong guys my age and some way older that put me to shame. All the more motavation for me I guess. GOnna try working out modays again to give my body a bit of a longer break, gonna try mondays and thursdays now.
