OH squat and shoulder injuries

As some of you know I have had shoulder injuries, that being said would any of you advise me doing Overhead Squats and would it help or hurt my shoulders, thanks.
 
Based on a shoulder health article posted here recently, you could do a reverse shrug at the end of each squat and help you stability, strength, and posture.

As far as the exercise goes, I haven't done them, but I can't see how they could hurt - unless you hurt your shoulders getting the weight up.
 
I would try some light OH squats out and see how they go. From what I read, OHsquat advocates tote them as the asprin of the weight lifting world: the cure for what ails you so to speak.

By light i mean you could start with just a broomstick or piece of PVC and see of you are flexible enough without pain.
 
Should've added - closer your hands are together, less stress on shoulders.
