When they finally get back to doing US shows too, they'll be one to watch for womens talent. This is what their roster is like now. I hope they can get these ladies some fights.

I don't get why they're putting Cummins in a tournament in Brazil when she can challenge Pearl Gonzalez's for her title. It will a year in October since she's fought and there hasn't been a fight announcement for her yet. Why waste a title challenger in a tournament.

I don't get why they're putting Cummins in a tournament in Brazil when she can challenge Gonzales for her title.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Silvana Gomez is going to get the shot after winning the first Flyweight tournament.

That's what I read. The reference wasn't as specific as I'd like though.

It seems XFC has a number of plans and fights in the works so we will know soon enough.

MMAU Management’s Jenny Liou steps back into the cage on Aug 22nd at Summer Showdown. She will be facing Katie Howard at 115 lbs. Jenny is one of the biggest prospects in the 115 lb division and proved that by making it to the 1st alternate spot at TUF 20. Jenny is looking to improve to 3-0 with a victory over Howard.

Shizuka Sugiyama off DJ 5 Card

It was announced today by BoutReview, that Sugiyama's opponent Hyo Kyung Song was injured in her last fight. The fight took place on 7/26 for Road FC. Details of the injury are not known.

... a replacement for Song was not able to be found and that Sugiyama will not be fighting on the card.

that is one heck of a list of some of my favourite fighters! good to see inoue and faria on there. felice may not belong there, but the rest is pretty solid, so not too many complaints here.

I think it is a decent list of top ten fighters but I tend to dislike putting people directly into top ten status unless they've defeated someone who is top ten themselves or their body of work represents top ten work in that division.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk has only one fight at strawweight and it was a win against someone who wasn't ranked at either flyweight or strawweight. Jedrzejczyk as ranked at flyweight so you could try to parley that into a lower spot at strawweight but you are tossing out someone else who has done the work at that weight.

This boils down to whether you should do these things by what people think someone can do at a given weight over what they have actually done at a given weight.

Neither is specially wrong or right, just a different way at looking at it.

I was double checking the weights and whether fights were professional or amateur this morning and found that this fight, below, is at featherweight. Many places, including Tapology, are currently listing it at bantamweight.
