On the Invicta tip, just watched Bruised on Netflix. Movie was okay, but it was cool seeing Halle Berry going through grappling exchanges and hearing Julie Kedzie commentating. I remember women fights being 3-3 minute rds back in the Strikeforce days. WMMA has come far.

I used to love Invicta but I would not put hearing Julie commentating as a positive. I never told anyone but she is the main reason why I watch fights on mute now. Her commentary was so bad I could not take it anymore and started to watch Invicta on mute. I then noticed that I liked it better that way and now I watch every fight on mute. It also avoids being influenced by commentators.

Haven't watched Invicta in forever, but it was just cool seeing her pop up as an OG of the sport.

Miesha was excellent the one time she did it.

Shout out to Dakota. Her interviews are always great, and she just seems like a fighters fighter. To take a new opponent on less than a week's notice is pretty gutsy. This opponent also has a very interesting record. She's fought Amanda Serrano, Shelly Vincent in boxing. And she's fought Queen Weili in MMA. What a life! Shout out to her as well. She's got a ton of experience on Dakota.

Better fight and a more sensible opponent tbf. Maybe Nijjar actually realised who she was fighting.

Im tempted to check out the Athena event live but driving out to the Grey Eagle to pay $120 with only sarah as a draw and missing the ufc FN live probably not worth it.

H2h it's a better event then what Invicta has imo.

For folks who may have remembered seeing this advertised as a $55 ppv, it looks like the price has been lowered to $25 if that increases anyone's interest in purchasing.

Yeah, it looks like a fun event but agree that's a steep price. I'm glad there's some events getting going now.
