Thought you were the expert.
Enjoyed it as well. Erin looked better than ever ufc is missing out.
Ruiz also looked awesome Invicta should have her in a title fight next.
I feel like Kaitlin was pacing herself she seemed to gas last fight, she's been fast at fw many times.
From my calculations she had to cut at least 3 times her body weight due to her being on the smaller side of average for a 125er.
Zhang isn't stronger than Andrade, she just outmaneuvered Jessica imo.
Ever seen Cris Cyborg fight? Jessica might be more shocking due to how tiny she seems, but Cyborg made a career out of eating every shot that came her way, and pummeling women against the cage with vicious hooks. Her fights against Yamanaka, Porto, Akano, Tweet, Carano, Finney, and Coenen (still hurts my heart) were massacres.
Ironically, both The Borg and Andrade got beat up at their own game by a smaller, but more technical and faster fighter. They also lost to a more technical striker in a five round decision, Joanna beat Jessica in a masterclass, and Jorina Baars (in kickboxing) had a war with The Borg.
Erin will undoubtedly be in the UFC in the next year or so. I actually like her building a name with Invicta first before jumping over as a complete fighter. I do wonder if they'll risk her against Porto, though.
Imo Brogan was a tougher opponent than someone like Shana Dobson or Priscila Cachoeira anyway.
Shooto super atomweight title fight today
Mina Kurobe vs Megumi Sugimoto
43 years young Kurobe just put down three rounds of whoop ass on Sugimoto
walked her down, landed right hands, bullied her in the clinch, good fight
Sorry but you guys are crazy. Weili is SOOOO much bigger than Andrade. There is no way Weili wasn’t the stronger fighter.
Weili is every Straweight’s nightmare, someone bigger and stronger than Andrade with skills on par with Joanna.
Ah, good point. Was just so easy to point the finger on Father Time and/or 145lbs, and completely forget sensible things like tactical pacing
How is this a key fight anymore? Reneau is on a three fight losing skid, Vieira lost once and immediately got kicked out of the Top 5. I guess Marion's job is on the line, I don't see them keeping her if she loses a fourth straight. That's the only way it could be a key matchup in my opinion.
Look whose finally trying to take their career seriously. I guess this means no more cross training.
Josefine Lindgren Knutsson scored a unanimous decision over two time IMMAF World silver medallist Nina Back.
Blimey! That goes into the same realm as Young, Macdeo, Frey early highlightreel headkicks.
I goofed on the age. She’s 43
Montserrat Ruiz has clearly been studying Ayaka Miura with the throw to scarf hold arm lock. Leaving the chin out, getting base low for the proper hip toss. The isolation of the arm from the throw, and straight between her own legs. Textbook Miura
Like you said at the end the ufc has easy fights for her, and for me I always feel bad for talented girls outside the ufc making like pennies on the dollar they could be earning and potentially increase or improve her training and growth with better finances. And a name in Invicta means less hype then 1 ufc win.
Ketlen has ONE loss, from a flash ko and you're writing her off as a contender. It's a key matchup because of Ketlen a win here and she reestablished as a top contender and one fight away from a title shot, where a loss will remove her from the conversation for a long time.
thsi pic makes it look like Agapova has male pattern baldness
an appropriate way to welcome PVZ into the fold
Roxy ticking some people off with this one:
While I certainly understand where she’s coming from (I rarely watch fighter interviews myself because they’re all so alike), she definitely could have come across better than how she did here.
