I thought this was cool. Sparta Combat League in Colorado is doing a Strawweight One Night Tournament. Not the biggest names but still cool that one of them will leave with 3 wins. This is the only picture of this poster so far so that's why ticket information is here. Announced combatants are below.

Jennah MaCallister (2-2)
Diana Schissler (0-0)
Kathryn Paprocki (3-0 Amateur)
Stephanie Skinner (4-7)
Cassie Robb (2-10)

Not sure who Feliciano and Padilla are. It might be Sheila Padilla (3-2) from California. Seems like another fighter is still TBA.

Cassie Robb (2-10)
Wow, is Cassie Robb really 2-10? I knew KOTC used her when they needed their more popular girls to get a win. I just did not know Cassie was nearing Celine Haga levels of bad records. Celine started her pro career 1-11. Celine really turned it around later on in her career though.

Bae <3 has a new fight

a bit trickier than Betch...

Road FC atomweight Ye-Ji Lee will be in a rap video soon:

I guess the rapper's name is Chang Star, or something like that. Apparently he's a Dartmouth grad.

I would preferred that they let Puddinglova fight Ladd instead just because of the ana, but I suppose they don't want to knock off a prospect at prospect-starved WBW.

But this should be a solid fight anyways. Neither has proved much so far in their UFC runs, but both still have good potential if they can put it together.

First fight is boxing (quarter finals), second fight is kickboxing (semi finals), third fight (final) is MMA

It should be a banger, and that's the most important thing, right?

I guess I favour Irene, but Pudding has looked better in all her fights from regionals upwards. While Bae <3 getting owned by Leslie Smith, means I'll always have doubts as to whether she can actually win any prospective UFC fight at all  :(

------------------------------------------------------

On the flip side: since they didn't reschedule her, I wonder what Betch's status is now. I thought some kinds of eye op (eg LASIK) might disqualify you from being licensed, although ~3 mins of googling suggests that isn't the case, though unsourced internet medical opinions vary from 'no MMA again evar' to 'you'll be fine'.
Not sure what kind of op she had anyway.
Maybe she just needs more time to be cleared.

I just watched the strawweight title fight from Pancrase 298, and I thought Vivi Araujo looked quite impressive. Is she that good, or is Fujino that bad, or was it just a very favorable matchup?
Forgive me if this has already been covered, I looked back in the thread and didn’t see anything.

She is younger, faster, and had a great reach/height advantage which she actually knows how to use (a rarity in this sport).

I like the first two, surprising amount of power for second person listed for someone at 125. Never seen the third person, will look them up tonight and watch what I can.

Trying to respect spoiler status.

So that is why she has gone MIA from social media for weeks now. She used to post daily then all of a sudden she stopped and only today posted a nice picture of her daughter's 1st day in school. I just read the story behind the recent abuse and if it is real she needs to leave him now before he kills her.
