A pair of 2012 Olympians will put their unified junior welterweight titles on the line for the distinction of becoming undisputed on May 22 when WBC and WBO champion Jose Ramirez faces WBA (Super), IBF and The Ring titleholder Josh Taylor at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas.
Ramirez (26-0, 17 KOs) won the vacant WBC title in 2018 with a unanimous decision over Amir Imam and collected the WBO title with a sixth-round TKO of Maurice Hooker in 2019. The 28-year-old from Fresno, Calif., recently defended his titles with a majority decision against Viktor Postol last August in what was considered an underwhelming performance.

The gold journey of Taylor (17-0, 13 KOs) took place at the World Boxing Super Series where he won the IBF title with a unanimous decision over Ivan Baranchyk in 2019 and narrowly got by the previously undefeated Regis Prograis in the WBSS finals to add the WBA (Super) and vacant The Ring championship. Taylor's last title defense came against an grossly overmatched opponent in Apinun Khongsong, who the Scottish fighters stopped in one round last September.

When is the Josh Taylor vs. Jose Ramirez fight?
  • Date: Saturday, May 22
  • Time: 8.30 p.m. ET
  • Main event (approx): 11 p.m. ET
The Taylor vs. Ramirez card takes place this coming Saturday with the main card beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. The main event fighters are anticipated to make their ring walks about 11 p.m. ET, though the exact time depends on how long the undercard runs.

Not many fights over the past several years when all the major belts in a weight class are all on the line in one fight....

<{1-16}><{1-14}><{1-14}><{1-14}><{1-14}><{1-14}><{1-69}>

Watch ABC , at the moment, crapping all over Celtics and no chance in hell in beating the Nets...

Going with Elvis. Better hairline by Sherdog Standards so he should smoke Sims... ;)

Joshua ordered to defend against Usyk.... Dude is never going to fight Fury / Wilder....

Sims did better when he switched to southpaw in this fight

Neither boxer looked great.

Was clearly set up for Elvis Rodriguez to get the win against a guy who has mainly beat people with losing records but then he barely touched Sims, poor.

WTF is going on with the adverts or is it just the dodgey stream I am watching
