Im gona say it. Boss fights are kind of a slog. Just a dodge-rolly attrition war.

The aesthetics and art design of them are fantastic, but its just so long and repetitive
I really thoughts there would be more mechanics to Learn on boss fights.

Yeah, playing as a Monk requires me to be quick and agile, in and out of combat. It would be cool if they added some environmental elements, but not every boss needs to incorporate them. In POE1, some of the most challenging bosses put you in situations where you have to take cover behind moving obstacles, and I imagine they'll include similar mechanics in this game.
 
that second ascendancy trial the one with the ritual is some bullshit.

gonna have to come back way overlevelled for this and pray to the rng gods that i don't get a string of nasty modifiers.

there i did it. not such bullshit modifiers. i didn't know there would only be 4 stages i thought it said 10, so i was peppering my angus for the worst.

made it to cruel but my gear is falling behind. but holy shit act 3 was long and i had a bit of a hard time with all of the act 3 bosses leading up to the final one, which for some unforsaken reason i beat on my first try without even knowing it was the final boss let alone how to fight it but i struggled with all the rest of them because i'm pretty much at a roadblock now until i get some better gear.

i'm fucking loving this game because of the challenge it's brought me straight out of the gate but man i gotta say, this game is straight up hard early on. and i can totally understand why people are getting upset and quitting over it.

With the recent patch im glad i didnt invest any time with the game. Game is clearly being treated as a playtest beta with the intent to further slow down player progression.

Im curious. Has anyone asked GGG whats the minimal time investment they expect of players to experience the full game?

Are they resetting characters with every update?

No. Theyre just nerfing character ability gem passives and abilities which in turn is diminishing invested gear. While not factoring in mandatory sub-system progression gold requirements, overall gold cost of re-talenting and increased time investment to do all this.
 
What are weapon set passives? I don't understand, it's like giving me 1 and 2 options when on the skill tree now.

And what are buffs? I have a couple of them now, are they active all the time, feel like the description hasn't explained them properly.

Also is it normal to still have level 4 gear better than what I'm finding at level 15? Lol still wearing some low level pieces.
