No Spoilers Official Black Myth: Wukong Discussion

Beat it. Took me about 50+ hours. And another 15 hours of grinding/leveling to beat the secret boss and get the good ending. I really didn’t need to grind another 15 hours but I was in that zone.

The bosses I truly struggled with were the snake mid boss in the first level, the blood tiger in 2nd boss and yellow loong and the final boss of the game. I must have fought the final boss almost 30-40 attempts. Went back and beat the secret final boss on my 2nd earnest attempt (after 5 under leveled attempts) but I kind of cheesed it badly. I tried this unlimited focus trick and it made the fight stupidly easy. Used it on the final boss (already beat him so I wanted to see how easier it was) and destroyed him on my first attempt.

Loved the game. Will definitely run NG+. Not sure how many times I’ll do it we shall see. Kinda ready to play another game.

Nice! Last boss gave me a little trouble in the multi phase, but once I figured out the timing of the leap attack he always used to tag in I smoked him.

Just looked up the cheese and wish I knew about it for the secret last boss, I must have attempted him 50 times before I finally put a winning run together, but spear you get was worth the fight.

Didn't finish my NG+ run and bailed half way through ch.3, may give this cheese a whirl and finish it up. There is a secret stance you can unlock in NG+3. Each run keeps adding to unlock the relic perks, and when you max out all of the relics, it unlocks the last stance. Not sure if I have that many runs in me, but might give you a goal. You can speed through pretty quick as all you really need to do is the chapter boss and each secret boss. All of the other stuff you can blow past. You can also challenge the black smith each run and get up to 5 accessories.

I'm at melted ballsack sword arm man in the story and yellow loong as an optional. They are both not fun fights lol

Why was the final boss so easy?

I think they're interchangeably hard depending on who you fight first. Meaning if you beat one you've trained yourself mostly to beat the other. The final boss beat my ass handily but once I beat him I was able to beat the true boss VERY easily. Granted I cheesed the true boss (with a focus cheat) but during the fight I dodged almost everything and was never in trouble. I vaguely recall dipping into my flask maybe twice or thrice at most.

You're so proficient at using everything at your disposal once you beat one of the bosses. Your reflexes have been finely tempered for the other boss. You become great at dodging, timing and maximizing your use of all your skills (fan, transformations, big head, immobilize, could step, etc..), healing at the right time whenever you need it, combo attack and parry (not necessary but its fun) and build focus efficiently to drop a 4-piece focus attack.

I ran the final boss again (twice). Once with the focus cheat and i easily dispatched him. Then I ran it again normally and it took me my 2nd attempt to beat him (with half of my flasks on me). I shoulda beat him in my first attempt but i got cocky and didn't heal since he was near death and narrowly got caught.

Yah I found myself casually plowing through NG+. I just reached chapter 4. I died only only once (to the final boss) not taking it seriously (had curios for xp, will and items). You are so OP with all your skills. The amount of xp you get for each kills is insane as well. Going to xp farm a bit. Goal isto have enough talent points to fill up every skill I am actively or passively using regardless of which build I go for.

Just wondering how they will handle the DLC. Do we get to use our OP character or do we start fresh?

Yellow loong and demon nutsack man down. In to the final chapter but I gotta find the secret areas in the previous chapters for the true ending

The starting boss in Chapter 6 Supreme Inspector gate checked me hard. Outside of chapter bosses, I probably struggled with him the most. Phase 1 was easy to learn, but phase 2 was absurd with his little unicycle bull shit.

Going back for the chapter bosses should be a breeze if you're going into the final chapter, Especially if you've taken down Yellow Loong and can make the Golden Loong Staff.

Yeah I've got the golden long staff

They really fucked up by not adding a map to this game.

Inspector giving me some rough butt loving. Had him down low but had no cheese left and my wandering wight missed and got me killed during what would have been his death blow. This boss is absolute horse shit.

Twice now I've had the inspector to one attack and the fucking spirit attack wouldn't come out despite mashing the buttons. Also happens with medicines. Definitely a coding issue that fucks the player.

Yeah, I definitely noticed that with the gourd. Died many times hitting the button thinking I would drink, nothing happened, then lost my window to heal, smash.

Thank god that wasn't just me. So many times I hit L1, nothing happens, and then I get squished. I was thinking my controller was donzo.

On another note, I was reading last night that if you use the Gourd that makes you drunk you can cancel the effect if you quick roll right after drinking. Haven't tested it though.
