I wonder what hobbies sherdog members attend to, apart from bashing fighters and looking at porn sites.

I have covered a bit. Judo, lathe working, welding... my latest interest is trying out archery.
Most likely the traditional bows. Not too expansive and supposedly it gives you a good posture, upper body strength, among other things.

Bring on more interesting hobbies.

Didn't know you were describing yourself in the first sentence.

I was not fighter bashing. Just a certain weight class that does not interest me.
For an example; MM has in his last 11 fights gone 9 times to a decision. You make him sound like some submission machine after 1 such win since august of 2009.

Still not bashing, just pointing out the most obvious case why I don

If the finishing rate in the WW class was as low as the FW, I would agree.
Five out of the last seven fights were finished. I have a new hobby for you: watch fights.

That is a big drop off
Ah yes, the stat from a year ago with a sample size of about five fights, three of which included MM. I'll stick to the present.

Off beat beat off is my off beat hobby. It's pretty challenging actually.

What kind of lathe? metal or wood?

That will bump up the awfully low percentage.
That is a good evolution.
You should watch fights instead of stats. Jon Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson would be, according to your logic, an uninteresting fight.

Now you are putting words in my mouth.
decision does not = a boring fight.
Just when you know that around 70% of the fights are going to a decision (compared to the -50% in the other classes) it takes away most of the unexpected factor

Metal.
I find it more interesting. Perhaps later on I will try with wood.

Nice, do you have a bench top lathe or a big one?

its been a while since I've been on one but I always enjoyed it, I could sit there and turn threads and crank out parts all day. That goes for machining in general really.

I build bass guitars as a hobby. Just got done with one this week. Got into it after a few years of furniture making so I had a decent amount of the tools and skills already.
