No wrist control, instead of looking for the free hand that locks it up he is trying to drag the hand that is already around the neck.

Chin should have been down a long time ago and the hand should have not been under it at all, seeing as locking up a guillotine in this position, especially an arm-in guillotine, is no easy feat.

No hands on the hips to push off and create space, and also prevent giving leverage to Kelleher because obviously you cannot finish a guillotine if your hips are far back.
Not only did he get finished by an arm-in guillotine, Kelleher managed to lock up Ode's right hand with his legs, making him tap with his foot.

Very bad showing for someone that has more submission wins than ko's/decisions.
Given that Kelleher's favorite submission is the guillotine, but this one should have been spotted miles ahead and the correct precautionary measures should have been taken.

Shit happens, congrats to Ode for making it to the UFC, but a very poor showing in his debut.

I think this answers your question, his arms were stuck.

Right. I'm sure you would've gotten out, ts. You wouldn't have just taken that from Kelleher

I would never be caught in that position in an arm-in guillotine by Kelleher.

The odds on this fight were ridiculous. Ode really hasn't fought many fighters with experience. He was also in the PPV of a huge card. I'm not surprised he choked that bad.

His arms were stuck when the choke was already in for 5sec atleast. He had more than enough time to escape.

Brian seemed much stronger and sometimes the best way to defend the choke is wait it out and find a comfortable spot which was probably his strategy before Brian squatted down applying pressure to his chest and body.

The most he could've done by the time Brian had his hands locked was pull butterfly guard and create some space but I doubt he was overly optimistic about having somebody with such a strength advantage on top and I doubt his butterfly guard is a go to instinctual thing (most guys don't use it)

He probably just isn't that good at bjj. I didn't think he was getting beaten up to the extent he'd quit.

Kelleher has a pretty good guillotine imo, he tapped Alcantara out with it like it was nothing.

You'd tap before Buffer's ass hits the door.

In the end people will remember Ode Osbourne for being the guy who tapped with his foot on a Conor card.

Stop projecting. Just cause you're an untrained fat bum doesn't mean the rest of us are.

I've been in this position a ridiculous amount of times and what I do is pull half guard. Anyone remotely skilled at jiu jitsu lets go of the head right then and there, and works on passing.
