ODD question?

So i'm selling someone glass items. Some have odd shapes to them as in the neck sticks out more then the base and some of the necks are skinny and such. Anyways, this dude is guying them from me but wants the dimensions of them (hight,width,length) so he can put them in pelican cases. How do I go about measuring it accurately? I'm used to reading a tape measure but i'm not too sure if that's right. Like the height of one of them is 9 and 3 quarter inch so is that what I would tell the dude so he can order the right inserts for the pelican case? Sorry I was never that good with math

I do construction so i think I know how to measure something. I was just double checking since I have no experience with pelican cases. Do you feel better being a dick online or what? Does it make you feel like a big man? Maybe it gets you through your shit life a little better, who knows.

i dont really understand what the issue is, but if i had to guess you're probably just overthinking it. Measure the max height, mx width, max length, give those numbers to the guy and tell him that's what they are. If you want to be extra careful, I guess you could tell him you don't know how those measurements will correspond directly to a well fitting case size, but i would think he'd know that.

yup that was the case, overthinking it for some reason. really no reason to measure the length since the base is a round object. I just measured the width and height and that's good enough.
