Do you guys think that the release of the PS4 is going to impact UFC 167 PPV buys? I only ask because I've asked a bunch of people in my area where they're watching the fights, and five out of seven replied that they''ll probably be too busy gaming out than watching the UFC. And when you think about it, the demographics are similar. These trends probably aren't only in my area.

This is isnt the ufcs fault, but I have a hard time watching them live because saturday night is literally the only night I can go out, and none of my friends irl like ufc/sports

PS4>GSP fight. If I was getting a PS4 tomorrow I'd still watch the fights but damn it would be hard.

Yes, the UFC is essentially competing with all other forms of entertainment.

It's a saturday night for me so I'll be out with the ladyfriend but if I could get out of it, I'd be playing the PS4.

I can see Dana using this as an excuse for not breaking 500k

Nah. The pussies who will be playing PS4 aren't the same hardcore badasses that like to watch GSP while fucking their girlfriends butts.

I'd say videogames and UFC go hand in hand, but who knows? Interesting point indeed...

No one's going to be playing PS4... They'll be playing Xbox

There will definitely be an effect, but whether it is 100 buys or 100,000 buys, it is hard to say. Probably somewhere in between.

I noticed that there are no big movie releases this weekend. That might not be a coincidence. I think Hollywood has learned to sometimes avoid big new video game releases.

I'm not sure if it will. I'm getting my PS4 tonight at midnight, but I'm probably more excited for UFC on Saturday.

Im sure there will be.

I mean if it came down to PS4 vs UFC 167, most could simply buy the PS4 and stream UFC so its not that hard a choice.

Beauty of the PC, watch UFC while you game... Too bad I rarely buy PPV's lol.

PBP's ftw!

I'm a fight fan, I wouldn't miss the fights for anything.

Some people can't wait 24 hours or less, and would rather play a video game. Good for them.

same here, it sucks man! i try to invite people to drink in my house to watch the ufc and then go out

Most people have pre order their ps4 a long time ago, so I doubt it.

The event goes for how long? If you can't wait that long then switch sports/hobbies.
