Saw Oblivion tonight and the best part of the movie was a triangle choke. Besides that, the movie sucked.
 
I could have told you about the moving sucking, even though I haven't seen the film.
 
The movie seems terrible and I hate Tom Cruise movies. Interesting they had a triangle choke. I can see in my minds eye how teenage boys are ranting how "that shit would never work"
 
I kind of liked The Last Samurai, other than that I've never liked Tom Cruise.
 
Lethal Weapon 2 has trinagles and other Rorion moves too.
 
Isn't that a Scientology propaganda film. I really try to avoid Tom Cruise. I only liked Collateral and The Last Samurai.

Collateral had some of the best gun manipulation I had ever seen in a movie. The Last Samurai was really good.
 
Not that big a fan of tom cruise but TOP GUN kicks ass. Especially the beginning.

It is good to see jiu jitsu added into films still waiting for a helicopter sweep.

Collateral was incredibly good film making. Last Samurai would have been better without the token white viewpoint character.
 
I don't watch anything w/ Tom Cruise in it.
 
Must of been the worlds best triangle choke because the person he did it on literally didn't wake up for a long fucking time.

BJJ has ruined people getting choked out for me in movies :(

I think that was the point of the Last Samurai. To have the western warrior viewpoint conflict with the eastern samurai (warrior) viewpoint.
 
Paul Walker also used some BJJ on Tyrese in one of that Fast and Furious movies.
 
Because of Tom Cruise's public personality, I've found it hard to like the guy, but it's hard to deny he's done some pretty fucking awesome acting and awesome films:

Top Gun?
Rain Man?
Eyes Wide Shut?
Vanilla Sky?
Mission Impossible?
A Few Good Men?
Magnolia?
Minority Report?

If he'd done half of those, and then still had his cameo in Tropic Thunder, which is the greatest cameo of all-time, I'd still think it's hard to dispute the guy's acting abilities.

It looked like he was going for an armbar from the triangle. He was pulling the arm straight down but his triangle wasnt completely locked and his leg was already completely flat against the floor. He wasnt pulling the head down either but his enemy passed out anyway.
 
god damn it was he at least at a 90 degree angle?

I agree. Collateral is one of mmy favorite movies. If you haven't seen it, you should. Love the over-the-shoulder shots while shooting.
