Amen. Obama was the catalyst for that and he convinced the Democrat party to take a hard left turn away from all common sense. Which drove people to Donald Trump.

I do think race relations were a lot better before Obama arrived and poked at law enforcement when he should have kept silent until the evidence came out. With his comments "the cops acted stupidly" and his comments on BLM riots during the Michael Brown incident.

Obama could have done a lot of good in terms of calling on urban black communities to return to morality and responsibility. It was a missed opportunity. Which those things are more beneficial than marching and rioting and burning down Ferguson or Baltimore.

Republicans haven't taken a hard turn right. Even the Clintons of the 90's had similar policies to today's republicans.

Republicans are more liberal than they've ever been.

When BLM formed during Ferguson, Obama told law enforcement to "show restraint" for the BLM protests. Law enforcement said "ok" to Obama, and they let them burn, riot and destroy the community of Ferguson. BLM knew the Obama administration would investigate any altercations of local law enforcement with BLM.

Also at the Dallas BLM rally where a racist black man killed 5 Dallas cops. There was a memorial service to the fallen cops, and Obama goes on to talk about "racist police departments" at a memorial service of 5 policemen/women who were killed by a racist black man.

No doubt, Obama is really the catalyst to the Social Justice movement that is out of control today. It got out of control during Obama's terms, especially the second term.

With a teleprompter, no doubt, Obama is the most talented speaker I've seen. Strictly in just delivering the speech.

Liar, he gave very respectful speeches after Dallas. The only reason that race relations got worse is because racist morons like you just could not handle a smart Black guy as President.

Race relations got worse because of the "knockout game", riots, looting of stores, BLM destroying Ferguson and Baltimore and the social justice movement that was promoted from 2008-2016.

Obama stepped back into the political fray Friday, delivering a speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. One theme of Obama's speech is how the history of the United States has always been progress and "backlash to progress," and the former President argued the country is currently in one of those backlash moments.
"You happen to be coming of age during one of those moments," Obama said. "It did not start with Donald Trump, he is a symptom, not the cause. He is just capitalizing on resentment that politicians have fanning for years. A fear, an anger that is rooted in our past but is also borne in our enormous upheavals that have taken place in your brief lifetimes."
Obama also said standing up to discrimination should be a bipartisan effort, adding "How hard can that be, saying that Nazis are bad?"


"It shouldn't be Democratic or Republican to say that we don't target groups of people because of what they look like or how they pray," Obama said. "We are supposed to stand up to discrimination and we are sure as heck to stand up clearly and unequivocally to Nazi sympathizers."
In his remarks, Obama highlighted the anonymous op-ed in The New York Times this week, published by a Senior Administration Official.
"And by the way the idea that everything will turn out OK because there are people inside the White House who secretly aren't following the President's orders," he said. "That is not a check. I am being serious here. That is not how our democracy is supposed to work."

Watching the speech on YouTube and so far it appears to be more of the same. If you seen one Obama speech you've seen them all: "Republicans didn't let me have everything I wanted!!!! waaahhhhh!!!!" That's what it sounds like after a while.

You guys will be much better off if you give a good faith effort to put aside your partisan feelings and just process what he said and evaluate it objectively. Aside from a little bragging everything he said was truthful and on point.
