President Barack Obama said Saturday night he will take it as a "personal insult" if the African-American community fails to turn out for the presidential election and encouraged black voters to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

"I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election," Obama said with a stern look and booming passion. "You want to give me a good send-off, go vote."

"I mean, he missed that whole civics lesson about slavery and Jim Crow, but we've got a museum for him to visit," Obama said

Because he helped them so much. By help I mean did nothing for them other than perhaps inspire racial hateread across the nation.

Do people really believe Hillary has any desire at all to help black people?

I heard about this but hadn't seen the full quote.
Frankly don't see the problem, all he does is tell people to get off their asses and vote.
Did I miss something?

Nice spin but all he is really saying is if you are a Democrat you should support Hillary Clinton just as you supported him and that it is a compliment to his legacy to do so.

You are kidding me right. A sitting president wants people to vote for the candidate from his party? And tries to get a certain group of people out to vote.

What is a next a white pastor in Mississippi telling people to vote for the republican candidate.

I'll have these n***ers voting Democrat for the next 50 years.

I consider it as a personal insult that someone he was criticizing during his first run for President, after plenty of reasons have come up as to why he was right, he is now endorsing for President.

Maybe some think it's problematic to tell people again and again what political views they should have and how they have to vote based on their genetics. Since political views should be a free choice but the color of your skin isn't.
Why can't he simply talk about supporters of the Democrats or his supporters? Why always bring in fucking color of one's skin?

Then why did he include skin color and the history of black people at all?

I hate to sound like every teenager on this site, but... you're pointlessly rustled.

This.

Life hasn't gotten any better for black people over the last 8 years. If anything, it has gotten worse. And the country is more divided.

So if a black president can't do anything to improve things, why the hell would they think Hillary will?

Can you quote the but where he mentions skin color?
I'm seeing "this community"...

Did he actually bring skin color into it or just address a community of black folks?
