Obama is out to reduce concussions in sports. Time to kiss your beloved MMA goodbye.

I'm glad to see this country has its priorities in check.

I thought I was a summit of people with concussions, this is much less interesting.

This is just as important as Steroid Use in baseball.

I'm glad our national leaders have the courage to address these crises.

So are you guys thinking that, when something like this summit is occurring, that other things are not being addressed? Or are you saying that government has no business dealing with concussions?

I'm thinking that, concussions in sports or steroid use in baseball should not warrant a fu*king summit, congressional hearings etc by our national leaders...

This truly is a serious matter due to the long-term effects. Concussions have a HUGE effect on the brains development and the preservation of it's well being; it can lead to degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and who knows what else. Good shit, Obama.

You all making jokes are idiots.

    Pupi is spot on.

With millions of kids playing football (especially) the risk is very real, and could lead to destroyed lives across the nation.

It is a problem, and it is worthy of more research and resources. Unless you want to see football ultimately become a thing of the past, then you should support this. If real, much needed reform comes from this, then it will stand as a highlight of Obama's Presidency.

Has he finished dealing with any of the scandals hes heard about on the news yet?

Is he done with the VA already were thousands of veterans are suffering and dying so people who surf porn for a living could get their end of the year bonuses?

What? He should be spending 24 hours of his day focusing on the more important stuff like THE ECONOMY, PEOPLE.

How dare he spend 2 hours hosting this serious-but-not-as-serious discussion? Now he only has 8,758 hours in the year to focus on the important stuff.

The amount of brain injuries football players are suffering is nuts. Football isn't going anywhere (and I don't want it to), so it's important that we don't have kids getting all jacked up.

Why? This is a very serious thing. A lot of kids are getting diagnosed with concussions from sports.

Lol Sherdog will hate on Obama for anything

Well yesterday he gave a speech, earlier this week he was hanging out with football players. Hes set a world record for playing rounds of golf. I should google that and calculate the hours.

Of course this is stuff all presidents do but the Keynsian Kenyan seems to be completely in the dark about numerous even-more-serious issues on a regular basis.

I also doubt he brings much to the discussion about concussions in sports thats not a real big part of being a community organizer.

There are many issues that the president shouldn't be the one to deal with. This is an issue for parents, kids, and football leagues to decide. No one forces them to play

So we should wait until no one plays football except the kids with shitty parents and the sport dies out?

Hopefully that $10 billion of revenue and ten month coverage window won't be missed by anyone.
