When OAM left I feel like he was one of the great fighters the UFC shouldn't have let go. I get he lost 3 in a row but IMO put up a round against Arman when they fought which is pretty impressive. I feel like he might be spoiling Burgos' debut (I realize he's the favorite.) Always liked him as a person, he's seems like a funny guy but maybe it's the style that turns people off.

Either way it's still a mystery to me why there are great fighters in the UFC still fighting for them when they are in that dead zone where they move close but never get to a title when they could run through everyone in PFL. They still seem mostly a promotion where UFC fighters go to die when they burn out the contracts after losing a bunch and the UFC is unwilling to renew what they were getting paid.

Burgos should win, imo.

But when one of the two fighters is Canadian. And I’m completely neutral on the opponent. I always cheer for the Canadian.

I don’t watch PFL, though. So no matter what I honestly don’t have a horse in this race. I just hope there is no controversy, and may the best man win.

Should have been beating Alexander Hernandez, to be perfectly honest.

Losing to Burns and Tsarukyan is fine, but just think, if he hadn't left UFC and headed for PFL, he never would have confirmed how good he is.

There's no shame in going away and doing work.

Robbie Lawler did it, Nick Diaz did it, some of the best UFC fighters of all time went out and grabbed a ton of experience and got better because of it.

Staying in the UFC isn't always a great idea.

I think OAM might win this, but Shane has pretty good tdd.
If OAM can't get him down I think he's fucked tbh.

Oam has looked a lot more composed on the feet in recent years. Basic, but composed and powerful and more defensively responsible than burgos, too. Burgos puts out insane output though.

It might sound crazy but OAM's power might be a difference maker on the feet here.

Shane is very defensively irresponsible and I could see him getting dropped here.

Thats a good point that I haven't thought of.
If I was gonna make a prediction Id say OAM subs a tired Burgos in the 3rd.

I guess we'll see sir lol

Yeah I literally just said to @Thesnake101 that if I was to guess I would say OAM subs a tired Burgos in the third.

Backing OAM Yes I am...

OAM was always solid, but I tend to believe he has actually improved since leaving the UFC. He has been on an absolute tear. I definitely favor him over Burgos, but I'm still not sure it's a safe bet as I haven't seen Burgos at 155. Burgos was huge for 145, but I don't feel his stamina or durability was ever an issue, so I'm not sure we'll see many upgrades in his arsenal. It should be a good scrap though.

Very good point -- another recent example is Dustin Jacoby. He has been on a roll since returning to the UFC, despite his recent loss.
