1. and good judo schools in nyc? what about sambo? what about staten island?

2. If I've never learned to wrestle in high school or college where can I in nyc?

3. Would it be advisable for me to learn more than one combat sport a week by doing two a day for twice a week? my schedule doesn't allow for much else? I work a lot.

4. what are the differences between sambo and judo? If I had to pick one or the other and the cost and availability is the same which one should I choose?

gene dunn bjj is an awesome place to train bjj in brooklyn. Not to far from staten. For judo, you should train under 8th dan shiina who is also in brooklyn. There is a sambo school in bk but from what i hear its just like judo, for sambo go to sambosteve(poster on here) but his school is in manhattan

anyway for bjj from renzo blackbelts in brooklyn let me know and ill give you the info

What part of NYC are you from? If you want the absolute best training in the heart of NYC, I'd go with Renzo's in Manhattan. The Alliance school is great as well. Both schools are expensive however, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Edit: Staten Island has a new school now with REALLY good guys led by Pan Ams champ Joe Capizzi. They're opening a new training center in June 10 (I think that's what I heard). The guys are VERY good. And I mean VERY VERY good.

Actually here's his myspace: http://www.myspace.com/joecapizzi

He has all the info you need here. Tchau!
