Still, despite the ways in which it’s a more relaxed experience to perform in the upper division, Holm (11-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) believes “135 is a little more my home.” And, while she isn’t thinking too far ahead of Saturday’s encounter with Anderson (8-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), reclaiming her majesty there is still the goal.

“This was the opportunity that presented itself and what seemed good for right now,” Holm said. “So I’m just going to take this fight and, after that, I’d love to be able to go back to 135 and be able to fight for the belt. I know I’m the No. 1 contender there and why not try and go back to that?

“How awesome would that be, to be able to get my belt back?”

I can see Holm possibly getting a TS at BW if she lose this one so who wins it and why.

I think holly would give Amanda problems. I don't see Amanda keeping up in cardio, muscling her around, or tko'ing her. Probably holly by decision imo

Would def be a fight I would love to see, Holly needs to put a few wins together first though or people will be bitching up a storm.

Lol’d at her thinking she’s the #1 contender when the only person she’s beaten since 2015 is Betche

at 135 Holm could theoretically beat everyone, only Valentina imho is a solid favorite against her.

with Nunes is 50 and 50, i see Holm even as the favorite.

id take holm over nunes, shes a better striker and defensively sound.

I have no expectations left for Holm, she can only deliver against awful strikers who rush forward like Bethe and Ronda. She has zero ground game and has been out-struck three times already. If GDR and Valentina could comfortably beat her, I really don't see why it would be a bigger issue for Nunes.

I don't see Amanda keeping up in cardio

Holm doesn't push the action, why would Nunes tire? She went to the fifth round without any issue in her two last fights.

Nunes crushes holm and its not even close. I really dont get this, holm losing to everybody then she will beat nunes. Just lol. Nunes (t) ko holm within 2 rounds.

didn't nunes already take it?

holms is a joke
lost her debut
lost like her last 4
only win is against the overrated ronda

She doesn't make it past Anderson

Holm showed she can be competitive with a bigger, better version of Nunes, striking wise, in Cyborg.

If it stays on the feet, Holm should have an edge, especially as the fight goes into the later rounds. Holm is a cardio machine and has shown an excellent chin.

If Nunes can initiate a grappling game, she should finish Holm at some point. Although, Holm has excellent footwork to make Nunes chase the clinch and takedowns.

Overall, I honestly believe Holm outpoints Nunes in a competitive fight.

Nunes wins if she can prevent Holly from dancing around for 5 rounds. She will have to lock her up, get some take downs and maybe a submission.
