NSAC forces UFC to replace Anderson as TUF coach!

unfortunate.. Anderson kept saying how happy he was to be coaching.

Poor Anderson

At least the UFC hasn't thrown him under the Bus

UFC said:
The UFC and Globo, the show’s Brazilian broadcaster, respect the Commission's decision, which will allow Silva to focus his attention on the matter before the Commission. Anderson Silva has been an amazing champion and a true ambassador of the sport of mixed martial arts and the UFC will continue to support him as this process unfolds.

I don't understand what authority NSAC has over reality TV cast members.

Especially over TV broadcasts in another country.

UFC should have done this themselves. Seemed like an obvious decision after the failed test.

I'm not too happy about Anderson testing positive, but I agree with this guy, it seems suspect.

This in no way relieves their own mistakes. I wish their was some authority above the NSAC which they would have to answer to.

The NSAC simply doesn't have any power to do that.

Anderson won't fight, nor will he fight in Vegas. His gig on TUF involves no fighting and even if it did, it would not be in Nevada.

I'm not condoning Anderson's PED use, but NSAC doesn't have unlimited powers and doesn't have the authority over the whole world like they've thought lately.

NSAC flexing their muscles. This is ridiculous. It's really a shame the UFC has to put up with this stuff to stay on their good side.

Not condoning Silvas positive test but what authority does NSAC have to do this?

I hope someone in the MMA media can at least try to ask this question of either the UFC or the NSAC, because I want to know:

1. Why NSAC wants him off the show; and
2. By what, if any, authority can they demand the UFC remove him.

NAC requested it, but they have no authority over this matter. UFC had every right to say no; I think they're just trying to play ball for the sake of their business relationship with the NAC.

TUF is filmed in Vegas. Nevada requires a license to be a second. The fights on TUF are regulated by the NAC, which means Anderson would have to get a second's license to corner them. He's currently suspended.

Very interesting

It's in the rules that if you get caught from steroids you can't coach either.
