I think Poirier should fight Iaquinta or Pettis. Pettis can also be tested with someone bigger than Jim Miller. Poirier isn't bigger than Pettis but is dangerous everywhere(he mauled Joe Duffy on the ground and has variety in his subs)

I kind of regard Iaquinta like a Diaz. Retires after every fight. Willing to sit out till he cools off and UFC makes things right. Don't really see any point in trying to imagine good fights for him. There's lots of good fights for him, but we don't even know if he's coming back or not, and if he does, then when?

Looking at the rankings, it might make sense to Poirier up against Barboza or Chiesa. It seems like Pettis needs a slow build to get his confidence back. I don't think he's back after a win against an unranked guy. Pettis should be fighting someone out of the top 10.

Poirier's last win was against that same unranked guy though, and he had more trouble than Anthony. So it would make sense if they did make Dustin vs Pettis.
