Can we stop the false narrative that he is going in with only 6 days prep and a disadvantage?

Masvidal literally said he has been staying fit and training for months.
So the only difference between him and Usman is that Usman has been specifically training for a different fighter.

Masvidal is going into this fight with a great advantage in that sense, so it won't be the one-sided fight it would have been if Usman had time to prepare.

So don't underestimate Masvidal now - this could be a crazy fight.
 
This is win/win for Mas... He got the leverage of a desperate UFC and a big payday. PLUS coming in on a week's notice he will have a built in and fully realistic excuse when he is dominated by Usman for 5 rounds.

His stock only goes up no matter how badly Jorge gets beaten on Saturday.
 
Can we quit acting like Usman/Burns was in the works for more than a month. Marty definitely did the same.
 
his only preparation is him being gamebred, a BMF that knocks fakes out on 6 days notice.

I was thinking the same thing haha His teammates have been vouching for that as well saying that he has been training with high level wrestlers and whatnot. I'm a fan of both fighters -- I hope it's a great competitive fight.
 
Most of these guys are always training. I don't think he planned on a weight cut this week.
 
Fighters tend to like to peak for the fight as well tho..
 
This Domehead Usman is gonna get slept on Saturday. Jorge is going to land that 3 piece with the soda and shock everybody.
 
The odds for Masvidal to win was on the low side to begin with, so this isn't that big of an advantage.
 
Never bought the im not training story Masvidal is saying. Hes been in the gym for sure. He was helping Dustin Prepare not too long ago and hes been rolling with elite Penn state wrestlers alot too.
 
Isn't he quite a bit heavier than usual? I'm sure he was training but probably not the same as in a training camp.

what does staying fit even mean. there a difference between mma training and hitting the traidmill weekly.

no he didnt jorge said he didnt get what he wanted. ufc made him bend a knee.

i admit he only did this to play the victim card and call out conor again after
 
This is a case of a guy training before the call. MTB said this weeks ago.
 
Exactly. If he took the fight then it has to be because he believed he could win. It must be super frustrating for a guy like Kamaru to know that even if he beats the brakes off Masvidal the excuses are already available.

People forget that Burns was more or less a replacement for Masvidal and so I call BS on the possibility that Masvidal has not had any type of camp for a fight with Usman.

Burns fought Woodley on the 30th of May, absolutely nobody expected he would get the title shot so why will anyone pretend that from the beginning of the year till the second week of June Masvidal had absolutely no preparation for Usman
