Now I understand Ronda's loyalty to Edmond.

In her Reddit AMA she said her favorite movie was Leon the Professional.

Leon the Professional is about a guy teaching a young girl how to kill people. Sound familiar?

I always felt like that movie was overrated, it was decent but a little too simple.

I actually think he fucks her on a regular basis.

He wishes, he seems to have a huge boner for her.

Their relationship basically boils down to one thing: daddy complex.

* Ronda jabs.
Edmond: Holy shit, that was amazing.

* Ronda throws a hook.
Edmond: Wow that was absolutely flawless.

* Ronda does a sloppy combo on the pads.
Edmond: Jesus Christ! Are you human? I'm certain that you could KO Laila Ali!

* Ronda farts
Edmond: Hmmmmmmm! Smells like Paco Rabanne!

Those are a couple of very specific statements. What is your basis for claiming it is a daddy complex or that he is overboard with the praise?

Most definitely

I was a little uncomfortable a few times the first time I watched it.

Then don't watch the extended version. In one deleted scene Matilda makes Leon (who had just woken up) believe that they had sex and he doesn't remember it. It's weird.

I do agree that this movie was a tad overrated, without Gary Oldman playing one of my best characters in movie history as Norman "Stan" Stansfield, it would have just been a ok but forgettable flick to me.

But damn, Oldman killed it in this role, when I was a little kid (I was very young when I watched it the first time) I wanted to become a corrupt cop "just like Stan and Willi Blood!"

Fun fact: Steve Buscemi was originally supposed to play Stan, I'm actually curious as how it would have turned out...

Also, "Willi Blood", one of Stan's henchmen (the one with the dreadlocks, and a good friend of Gary Oldman IRL) is a pretty interesting guy : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willi_One_Blood

I actually think he fucks her on a regular basis.

When I watched a couple episodes of TUF Ronda vs Tate, I legit thought they were a couple.

Felt bad for him when I read here that he was being friendzoned all this time.
Then I didn't feel bad anymore because he comes across as being quite a douche.

I'm more curious what the basis is for the specificity of Paco Rabanne personally...

i really liked the movie
their relationship is really good portrayed, with her being sexually attractive to him doesn't make him a pedophile

It's my favorite movie of all time as well. Great characters and great action.

Natalie Portman at 12 years old > a lot of today's young actors

man. In Australia when you say you 'root' you mean 'sex'.

So when he starts talking to her about moving on and getting lots of roots I was like WTF, Why is Jean Reno telling this child to go out and have lots of sex?

It wasn't till I was older that I realised he meant roots in the other way.

I was pretty young when I watched it (~14) so I guess that accounts for part of the stupidity.
