The scoring system is so fucked. Should be scored as a whole like in PRIDE. Whittaker only landed a few jabs and leg kicks. He in no way was close to stopping Romero at all. Meanwhile, Romero almost sent Whittaker to the nether realm like 3 times.

I had Yoel down 3-1 going into the 5th (and admittedly wouldn't have been upset with a draw off a10-8 final round).... but 3 things bothered me with the fight:

1. Yoel took time off for a nut shot that didn't really happen, because he was gassed, and it was obvious...

2. Yoel probably screwed himself out of a 10-8 in the final round by taking his foot off the gas

3. Yoel missed a finish at the end of the 4th by taking his foot off the gas...

I mean let's be honest.... if he had the cardio to really go and/or a real killer instinct for when he's got a guy badly hurt, he'd have dunked on Whittaker tonight.... Instead he (justifiably, imo) lost a close decision.
