Nope, Oliveira would get KOed by Dustin

It's a good job Dustin has beaten so many fantastic opponents, because it would be easy to assume he's overrated after beating a pretty poor Conor McGregor twice.

I have a slight concern that those fights might have messed with Dustin's calibration of what the top, top level looks like, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if Oliveira won.

I think beating bad opposition in massive fights can easily skew reality. That's the real x-factor in this fight. I won't be betting the house on Poirier.

Scratch that; I won't be betting on this fight at all.

Do Bronk has a glass chin. Some said here that Poirier is a volume striker...well not against a jaw like Charles'. Against a jaw like his, any punch is a bomb

Hope he doesn't fight Chandler in that case, no way he wins.

1 bomb, done.

Oh wait...

This, recency bias I think has made some of us forget Oliviera is a bit of a glass cannon. If Dustin and him fight it's going to be fireworks and a pure banger. But Dustin is more proven durability at LW and more firepower. I think he lays Oliviera out. Would love if I'm wrong, big Do Bronx fan.

Oliveira's chin isn't granite, but he's been put in bad spots in the recent run (against Teymur, Lee and Chandler) that he would've folded in earlier in his career.

Poirier might well finish him, but he's going to have to work for it.

You're not wrong. I just see Dustin as the slight, and it is slight, favorite if/when they fight.

Oliveira round 3 sub . Dustin is a volume puncher I don't see that type of fighter beating Oliveira right now. Also the Chucky Olives that lost by sub is basically irrelevant to this conversation. Oliveiras high guard muay Thai stance and long kicks will do him well in the stand up against Dustin's Orthodox boxing as well.

What a prediction. Well done man

It always feels so damn good when you get a prediction dead on the money.
My shining moment like this was Whittaker vs Yoel 1.

Well done!

Always been a poirier fan but he sure as hell got overrated these past couple years from beating guys who just have stand-up and no grappling outside of khabib.

Conor was supremely overrated and Gaethje is still a bit overrated and I am a fan of JG.

As I said in rhe lead-up to the poirier vs Oliveira fight, it wont surprise me at all if Charles beats Justin too.

Oliveira legit looks like he just inherited Tony's toughness with a better ground game and more crisp striking. As long as his recovery holds up, he will be a problem for everyone.

Or maybe that same "crazy fanbase" sees Oliveira for what he truly is: overhyped, overranked journeyman who caught a lucky break by getting matched up with two big name has-beens on a downward spiral and an overhyped B-league washout with crazy promotional hype. In reality, Oliveira has yet to rematch Felder to prove that he belongs in the top 10.

I see why you got banned, and Im happy about it, and the only reason Im answering you is because I know you are already back on the dawg posting loads of bullcrap and prasing guys just because they are your „braddas“

Fact: Before the Khabib fight, Dustin has only been taken down 3 times in his LW career.

Of course Oliveira is an all-rounder, a specialist in bjj but Dustin is a black belt in bjj too almost subbing Khabib in a Guillotine Choke when they fought. This is a weakness in Oliveira, he lost 2 matches via guillotine earlier in his career. Im not saying Oliveira didnt improve since his last losses, but if it ever goes to the ground (which is hard considering Dustin's TDD is good) Dustin would not be easy pickings.

Dustin is too sharp for Oliveira on the feet. Hes the best boxer in the UFC right now. KOed Conor, Gaethje, and dominated in striking exchanges against Holloway.

I dont understand how people are saying Oliveira would ragdoll Poirier. Yes khabib made it look easy, but Oliveira is no Khabib. His takedown weapons are not as advanced as khabib. Tony's terrible TDD only made Oliveira look good.

Chandler rocked him terribly in the 1st round. Poirier would KO him
So much for this.

Damn. Solid stuff man

What’s necro? And I love bumps to overconfident predictions that fall completely flat.
Necro from necromancer, necrophilia, etc. Necro = related to the dead, death. This was a dead thread that was "resurrected"
