Hey guys, im a 'noob' at posting so excuse me if this has been answered already. Basically im looking for some MMA Equipment like Training Dummys and heavy MT Bags but i live in the UK and everywhere i've looked don't deliver. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also im a pretty big dude and by big i don't mean Brock big, i was in a car accident which left me stuck in bed for over a year with back and neck injuries and in that time i got pretty fat, im 5'11 and i went from a muscular 180lb to a 320lb full blown fatty lol i got the man boobs and everything!! Im really looking to get back in shape and plan on going to Thailand for a year in the winter. If anyone has been to Thailand and can point in the direction of some fat friendly muay thai camps i'd appreciate it.

peace.

Give me a minute and I'll dig you up some UK sites to look at,okay?

Down in Wiltshire.Country boy now, originally from Feltham/Hounslow areas of W.London.

Yea,I train,I teach a few guys self defence.I'm into the Geoff Thompson kinda thing.

o yeh, im from Tottenham. kinda lived there all my life...what i wouldn't of given to live out in the sticks! Have you been to any good MMA/MT schools in LDN?

Nope.only ever trained self defense in London under a guy called Phil Giles and self defense in Weymouth under a guy called Mo Teague.

London Shootfighters is supposed to be good though and there are several MT and BJJ places in London too

Looks pretty good.Sure that some people in G and E have trained in Thailand and will have a better idea than I as to the quality of the camp and instruction.

hey man, when are you coming over? there are 3 camps I would recommend, which are Fairtex in Pattaya, Jitti in Bangkok and the WMC in Koh Samui. I feel Phuket is a bit too commerical. However there are still a few good camps down there. I saw Yod training at Fairtex last month. Awesome guy! Thanks, John

Hey John nice to meet you. I plan on coming, hopefully just before Christmas. I kind of got that feeling with Phuket aswell the only reason i liked that camp was because it fit in with my budget. I got

hey man, your up late! im just getting ready to go for my morning run! I think you would be able to do the WMC no problem. I know the owner so I can speak to him and see what the prices are for you. I've trained there and it's good. Facilities arent great, but the training is good. The trainers there were the ones that did the Contender Asia. I am not sure about Fairtex though, because it's pretty expensive. The one thing you will notice with areas like Phuket, Sumai and Pattaya is that they are pretty commerical and the Thais are there to capitalise on you. Thailand is not as cheap as everybody thinks! Don't get me wrong you can do it with 10k for 12 months, but you are going to have to watch your money and budget properly. Any questions just give me a shout. I am in Bangkok. When it gets closer to the time I will give you my mobile number, so if you have any questions or run into any problems just call me. Thanks, John

Cant sleep, its terrible! Yeh i guessed the Thai were like that, being a 'farang' and all lol. WMC sounds great, its really all about the trainers for me. Thanks a lot, i will definately get in contact with you nearer the time appreciate the help man, take care

no worries man. yeah im like that recently. waking up at 4am then can't go back to sleep. it's crap. going to malaysia this weekend for a break, so hopefully i can get some rest there.

Hope you have a good trip. How long have you been in Thailand? As i said i plan on coming down for a year and depending on how i like things maybe stay even longer so it would be great to have a friend that knows the ropes. Is it better to wait until i get to Thailand to buy MT Gear? seems the logical thing to do. How old are you? (sorry for being nosey!). Is the humidity as bad as they say it is? Checked out the WMC website and i think i found what im looking for. Koh Samui is where they filmed 'The Beach' wasnt it? Im sold!
