Non-Americans, have you tried Mexican food?

Ormoc CIty, Leyte....the only Mexican we eat here uses lumpia wrappers for tortillas. I'm learning to cook :)

Oh Crap that place got hit hard by Typhoon yolanda.

La Taqueria, Mission District, San Francisco. Greatest taco ever crafted

Taco is one of the most popular dishes in Norway, so yeah. I can't really vouch for it's mexican authenticity.

Best I've had was in Carlsbad.

Hit up Chipotle if you haven't guys. It's even better than the stuff they serve in Mexico.
Lol, I have had better mexican food of a makeshift taco stand in the street, seriously. Chipotle is okay but not amazing. If your ever in area with lots of mexicans, look around for some local restaurants and give them a shot. Lots of better Mexican food out their.

Nah, even my one Mexican friend says it's just like back home -except better.

Strange. I've never known a Mexican to cook with black beans, nor to use white rice in their burritos. Those two things were common in my trips to Honduras and Costa Rica, though. I guess that's Central America, not South America.

A picture doesn't do it justice, you have to trust me...

Siete mares, or 'Seven Seas'

Well, that decides it:

Food A > Food B

And shame on whomever brought Costa Rica into this discussion. Gallo pinto con juevos with salsa iglesia is the GOAT.

Can't forget Mexican dulce, or dessert/candy...

Cessy's?

Surf-Mex legit little hole in the wall.

No idea what it was called, it was twenty years ago.

I was there on business visiting Mellano farms and they took me there for breakfast, told me it was the best I was ever going to have, and they were right.

Oh gawd, please don't tell me that you're a SD native that moved to LA. Please don't.

Hell-LA is the Satan's Asshole of this goddamned country.

Source: I grew up there for 15 fucking years. Hollywood and San Fernando Valley, the once porn capital of the world. Terrible traffic and fake people galore.
Reppin' South Central and East Los, Homie!

And, no I ain't from SD...

Believe...THAT.

Oh Crap that place got hit hard by Typhoon yolanda.
Yeah, it wasn't easy going through all that with wife and toddler. Ironically on topic, the only suffering that we still endure is the lack of our "Mexican-inspired" Mooon Cafe. We miss you...god speed.

There was one place that opened up near me last year but it closed about 6 months later (mostly because the food was sub par).

Any one got a full proof recipe to knock something tasty up at home?
