Its going to sound dumb, but think about it.

Eddie Alvarez.

I really dont see Khabib being able to take Eddie down and out position him and just dominate. I feel like Eddie is really strong in the scrambles, and wouldnt get blown out of the water.

He also has great cardio, could get back to his feet, and would definately out strike Khabib. Potentially could catch him in a sub
Is this a crazy opinion?

For the record, not saying Eddie would win.. i just like his chances more than the other top LWs. Anyone who is 25-0 will be the favorite.

Yeah you're crazy pal, leave the crazy back in 2017 please.

I need to give EA more credit as I was sure Gaethje would wreck him but that still sounds far-fetched IMO

Chandler took Eddie down with ease...every time.

Eddie Alvarez is one of Khabibs worst match ups and is a fucking animal. Too bad Conor humiliated him and now sherdog has to try and pretend he sucks.

Still favour Khabib

Y’all don’t know!

Eddie is a top LW and has been for awhile. Why would it be crazy?

Eddie is a tough matchup for anyone, I don't disagree.

Barboza might be a better striker, but Alvarez is a tough, grindy and gritty mofo. I don't think he could avoid the end result but he might give Khabib some more trouble. Tony is also a possibility because of cardio and good ground game, especially from his back. Intriguing matches, all of them.

Eddie is good at defending TDsin the center of the cage. In the clinch, against the cage he hasn't shown any tools that would stop the sambo and Judo TDs.

His inside work is good and he's strong so anything can happen but he basically invites the clinch by always fighting in the pocket. The scrambles may be an issue but Khabib does have some crazy mat return skills.

Eddie would be a hard one to pin down for sure. Would be a hard match up. So I don't think you're crazy...well except for the comment about Eddie subbing him. Not gonna happen.

He is gritty and good but not really great anywhere.... Had his hands full with Melendez as far as grappling goes.

I think Khabib would overwhelm him somewhere in the 1rst or 2nd round. After dozen or so punches to the face, most of Eddie's technique and sharpness would go away.

I know you saw my response, and it proves that you're simply wrong.
I didnt say Khabib wouldnt take him down.

Chandler took Eddie down every time and still lost to him. Thats my point. Eddie has the skills, nobody is defending those takedowns. Eddie can be taken down and stay in the fight.

no not even close.. the only one i see would give khabib a hard time is woodley. alvarez fights little to sloppy for a khabib and alvarez is very hitable.

Hes got a well rounded submission game and could potentially catch him while theyre in a scramble. I never said it was likely.. but he has shown much better subs than Khabibs last few opponents where he just crushes them on the ground. I dont think he would do that to Eddie

McGregor controlled Alvarez in the clinch. Khabib will take him.
I think Nate Diaz is the bigger challenge.

Khabib has much better control than Chandler. His grip never lets go. And if it does, only to be taken down again.

A fight with Trujillo shows that when Khabib wants, he can let the victim go as he pleases. Same with RDA

Alvarez is a basic wrestler, he doesnt go deep in wrestling. Alvarez is more a allrounder with an overhand that likes to brawl his opponent out but Khabib is the master of control the brawl. So i dont think that Alvarez has a chance.

The only one that has a chance is Ferguson i think, he can mobilize some tools since he is a fighter with many tools and creativity with a insane stamina. But im not sure about that after i saw that fight against Lee.

McGregor needs a fcn 2 mio dollar training camp for a fight like this. he spend 300k dollars for a training camp against the second diaz fight. He needs some guys wich prepare him for a fight like this. McGregors best wepon is his psychological strategy before the fight and the show of his fans behind him.
