No proof that Stipe is a golden gloves boxing champ...

I did a search and I could not find any evidence that Stipe is a golden gloves boxing champ or even competed in golden gloves at all. I believe they have said the same thing about Conor being a boxing champ as well and their was also no proof at all of that.

We can find evidence of Werdum BJJ skill in competition and its documented.
We have evidence of Overeem K1 and BJJ skill in competition and its documented.
We have evidence of Hunt and his K1 skill in competition and its documented.

Does anybody have any source? Something tells me that it didn't happen.

MMA is still the wild west where you can just claim things, and it can't be disproven, especially at a regional level. Boxing doesn't tout small shit like that, they tout amateur records, which even still are a little rough to prove, but typically they'll tout olympic medals, which is absolutely able to be proven

edit: He was not a Golden Gloves national champion, Lenroy Thompson, now known as Cam F. Awesome was the 2009 national champ & will be the USA's representative at the Rio games. No idea if Miocic competed in nationals.
