Too much talk about Brown either being the GOAT or a can.

Costa looked like a man on a mission today. Walked right through Larkin's punches, even though they looked hard and sounded like a baseball bat hitting Philippou's face. Beautiful KO.

Who should he fight next and what is his ceiling in the division?

That was a fun fight, quick as it was.

Phillipou shut me the fuck up too.

I literally said "I think Phillipou's about to get knocked the fuck out-" exactly as he landed the knock out blow.

    That'll show me.

It was fun, the KO was impressive, but to be fair, Larkin was lighting him up pretty bad too.

The odds for Philippou were good just before the fight. To bad i didn't bet on him. He looked good at the weiginns. Just was affraid of wich Larkin would show up. Too bad about Larkin i heard in a interview he was searching for the perfect punch against Tavares. That has cost him maybe his job.

He looked great but he's already reached his ceiling IMO.

    maybe, who knows

he did show some striking versatility compared to his other fights, he threw a couple of kicks and some of them were set up with a punch

he looked better than in alot of his other fights, his defense was lagging a bit though, got tagged a couple of times with upper cuts

The most impressive thing about Costas tonight was his chin.

He took many clean and brutal shots before he finished it. He barely even wobbled.

Being a top 10 fighter in your weight class is a pretty great ceiling.

    This.

    And this.

I think he's going to stick around as a top 10 gatekeeper for a while, but I think he'll always struggle against the top 5.

Philippou has no place in UFC, Why take fight knowing you're going to lose before fight even happens

He looked good and all, but there's a thread on the first page about Herb Dean fucking up a fight three months ago that's far more interesting.

typical, my 20 euro bet got nothing but i had a cheeky fiver on costa and soa to both win by KO. 10/1.....the small bet always wins!, couldnt believe that Costa was 11/2 to win by KO.

Agreed, the chin was impressive, but so was his offense.

That Francis Carmont fight had really sent him into a depressions. One could see his former self back today.

I admit I wrote off Costa as he looked pretty poopy his last few fights, but damn he sure showed up today. I wanna see that version of Costa every fight. If he can defend take down's he can crack the top 8 but I don't see him getting into the top5 to be honest.

What about him vs Jacare? Most other dudes have a fight scheduled no?

Eh... I don't know about that he has just ended his two fight losing streak. I was thinking maybe Costa vs Bisping would be a fun fight even though he is coming off a loss.
